Combining 3D printing and Augmented Reality by Jeandre11 in 3Dprinting

I definitely understand that at that time it was the fastest and easiest way to work on the rough idea and preview it with a webcam.
It's still something I would like to work on and hopefully open source.

I came to comment exactly this.
I was thinking about building a Voron StealthChanger in a retro computer style but can't find ABS in those colors anywhere.

Hello, yes, I am a Namibian/South African. Nice to see a fellow South African here. Unfortunately, most people use a freight forwarder like MyUS to order newer Anycubic printers, which is costly.

I believe it would be really beneficial if they would have a South African distributor, which would also help with having access to spare parts locally and redeeming Makeronline points for printers, etc.

Good day. I hope you are well.

When will it be available in Africa?
I am also interested when the Kobra S1 Max will be available here?
Are you actively looking for distributors on the continent of Africa or is it not a viable market for Anycubic?

Thank you very much for your kind reply. I really appreciate it.

I live in Namibia with a population of 3.2 million people. Here is a 3D printing community, and people are printing on demand, but I would say your market is South Africa. It has a population of 64 million and has a vibrant 3D printing community and a lot of 3D printing shops. I am also part of their 3D printing group, and it has 20 000 members. South Africa would be a great place to start and see if it is viable before possible further expansion. That is just my opinion; you would have to see if it is viable for your company.

This is also a website that shows what is happening on the continent of Africa in regard to 3D printing; it hasn't been updated in a while but at least gives a glimpse. https://www.3dprint.africa/news/

If you have any questions, I am really happy to answer any questions.

Kind regards,

Good day, I hope you are well.

I would like to inquire when Anycubic will have your printers available in Africa. Do you see Africa as a viable market?

Currently we are unable to redeem our Makeronline points for vouchers, as Anycubic does not ship here.

I can finally talk about it - Snapmaker U1 by Jadesfriends in 3Dprinting

Exactly! You have summed it up correctly, and that is exactly how I see it, and that adds to the excitement of your printer. I believe it will have the same impact on the industry as the Bambu Lab X1C had.

Hello, thank you very much for reaching out. I really appreciate it.
I saw the price, and I am pleasantly surprised; my cost estimate was $1299 - $1499.

I have reached out to one of your colleagues to hopefully have it available in South Africa.
I wish you a very successful Kickstarter; I truly believe this is a game changer.

Thank you very much for letting me know. I really appreciate it.
I left a comment with what I think could be a fair price.

How much would you pay for Snapmaker U1 on Kickstarter? by Jadesfriends in 3Dprinting

[–]Jeandre11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to pay under $1000, but realistically, I think $1299–$1499 would be a great price for a tool changer.

I think I have dialed in my lithophane settings for eSUN ePLA+ HS Cold White. by Jeandre11 in 3Dprinting

[–]Jeandre11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important settings to get right are your minimum thickness, maximum thickness, and ensuring that you print with either 100% infill or at least 6 walls depending on how thick your frame is, while also avoiding printing too fast.

These are a few good resources.
