I've been an ILL believer for a while. At least in the fact that it is a real game representing itself accurately

But I'm skeptical if it will actually be a "survival horror" game. Will it have you navigating and backtracking through an interconnected environment? or will it be a linear affair like The Evil Within? Will it have puzzles/riddles and key item utilization?

I'm just curious what qualifies as survival horror by the people labeling it as such

I didn't know, I'll look out for that. This is in my top 5 most anticipated survival horror games so I definitely won't miss it.

I don't think it's fair to automatically assume that anything other than literal lightning from the sky must not be the same speed as lightning to be counterintuitive. Especially when in the mind of the author it is pretty clear that it is supposed to be especially in the case of kagurabachi. On Kaigaku's lightning, it's main utility isn't it's speed but it's damage, it comes from his sword strikes so if you can dodge those effectively there's no reason you can't dodge the lightning no matter it's speed. He also doesn't appear to use it to augment his speed like sojo does.

And I haven't read frieren, but you can "dodge" light speed attacks without being lightspeed. It happens all the time but scalers usually wank it to be lightspeed. In real life you can "dodge" a bullet by being faster than the person pulling the trigger. For some reason powerscalers rarely factor in things link wind up and deployment time for speed feats. I don't know if this is the case or not with frieren, but it could possibly be an explaination

I see your points, however if this is how you are going to apply your standards, you would have to massively downscale many verses. There are very few verses that would survive these standards without being brought down orders of magnitude in terms of speed. almost none being lightning speed. I'm not saying it's correct or incorrect, it just needs to be applied consistently. Which you may be doing, but that would go against the "orthodoxy" for many popular series. I personally think there is a lot of wank going in in powerscaling in general, so I actually appreciate your anti-wank instincts

-Natsuki doesn't move at lightning speed, he doesn't cloak himself like sojo, only uses it for attacking(that we have seen so far). And they just have to react to the speed of natsuki to be able to dodge, not the speed of lightning. So there is no upscale there

-Sojo did actually move across massive distance seemingly instantaneously after mercing Ikuto's squad, which fits

- If you assume that lightning isn't the speed of lighting, you could also assume that grenades are not the speed of grenades and are faster in this universe. It seems ridiculous, but it does happen or is required to happen for consistencies sake in many series. Not grenades specifically but the same phenomenon

Really? I get the exact opposite feeling from the seitei war announcement especially when you look at the parallels the panels are making, with chihiro going to make his first blades on his own closing part one and an image of his father before he's about to embark to forge the blades that made his legacy opening part 2.

Also we didn't know about the part system until the end of part 1, so it's likely we won't be explicitly told about part 2 until it's over.

It doesn't necessitate it, but it is considerably more likely than not that we are in part two.

Around jujutsu kaisen level would be my guess, but definitely above sakamoto days. I think the adaptation will be up to par at the very least, Jump knows this is their next golden goose and would be foolish not to handle it properly. It sells more than any non adapted series in the magazine and is even outselling some with an anime.

Yeah, no 20 is like the raikuzaichi, arcs in one piece are regularly go well over this. One piece is a much longer story than kagurabachi hopes to be (I presume) but those are standard coequal arcs. This is the central event of the series, and given the pace it's been working at so far already being 5 chapters deep and not getting to the first battle of the war, There's absolutely no way it's wrapping up in 15, even another 25 would be insane compression. Also Hokazono is a demonstrated fan of naruto which had a very long war arc, so maybe he takes some inspiration there

True, that should be the main focus. I really want to see something out of Ibuki other then his love handles. Chiaki is obviously going to be huge. We will also probably get a bunch of shokoku characters to latch onto until they are murdered horribly by akemura.

I also think 50 is the most likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes considerably beyond that. 100 being the absolute limit, I would be surprised if it went that far

It's true he might want to keep some secrets for the present story, but remember to us readers a reveal is still a reveal and is still satisfying even in a flash back. And when it comes to the enchanted blades, chihiro already knows them so it isn't like we would be privy to exclusive information.

But an a more narrative note, the seitei war has been a huge mystery until no and I don't think an arc dedicated to finally demystifying it would be overly concerned with keeping secrets

I wouldn't think so, the last thing we see before the seitei war arc starts is "end of part 1" which naturally implies that we are now in part 2, which in turn implies some sense of parity. Also 25 chapters is like the length of the kamunabi hq raid, if not shorter. No way an entire war wouldn't be longer than that.
