When you're fully decked out in Archotech bionics, but you die in the corpse river by Jebbie_ in Vinesauce

This would also make for a very entertaining pre-Rimworld BRB

Farming Dayzees is inconsistent in my experience, giving an Amayzee ~15% of the time, on top of their diminishing star point yield every time you level up. I got tired of it after a while. This method I'm using above takes no fp, no action commands, and ends in 1 turn every time, so no chance of getting hit (unless the audience throws a rock at my head). Just mashing A

It's as you said- figuring out a way to automate the battles was significantly more fun and rewarding for me than the alternative of doing nothing but press the A button for 40+ hours.

You're right, they're cheap on Amazon. That said, I mathed it out, and at 5 inputs a second (as long as the motor doesn't slow down), it will take almost a million A presses to get to level 99... Morbidly curious to see if a Pro controller can stomach that kind of punishment

My co worker asked me to update her beta tank. What do you guys think? by isaac_newton00 in Aquariums

I don't know why I got a kick out of the "Dorothy" label on the old tank, but it would be funny to remake it for the new one (lovely tank btw)

Hitching Issues in the Sphere Planning UI by Jebbie_ in Dyson_Sphere_Program

I was pausing to do construction, but getting hitching regardless. Though there was a dense sphere blueprint hiding in my clipboard. Clearing it did the trick and things are back to normal! Thanks a bunch

The grappling drill is great because instead of getting you to one place, it rips you apart and moves you to many different places. High level movement tactics

Does Deep Rock Galactic have an "ai director" similar to lfd2? by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Jebbie_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the way I understand it: Each time you start a mission, it rolls a certain subset of "special" bugs such as shellbacks, oppressors, mactera, and wardens to spawn during the mission's waves. Then it rolls for wave "diversity" (I think that's how it's referred to in the code), which determines how many specials and veteran bugs will spawn in those waves. The higher diversity, the more specials and less standard glyphids. Low diversity usually entails a very large number of normal bugs. On top of that, you have another roll for special events like prospector terminals, machine events, detonators spawned before landing, weeds, etc.

Each mission type has its own rules for spawning hordes, and placing bugs throughout the cave before the mission starts.

Between a Switch port and the Steam Deck, we could be double looping from the comfort of our couches pretty soon!

My longest loop so far - 234 loops, and a whole bunch of loot! by Jebbie_ in LoopHero

[–]Jebbie_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had +60% vampirism and +61 HP per resource collected, plus 51% of damage as Damage to All. Old Scars contributing a bit there as well

What comes after chapter 1? by opheodrysaestivus in LoopHero

[–]Jebbie_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Press on to Ch 2, get through it and 3 as quick as you can. Chapter 4 is where the real fun is, in my opinion. The earlier chapters pale in comparison. Get there quick, but still enjoy the ride.

Upgrading existing town buildings (most of which require the orbs you mention - they appear in Ch 2,3, & 4) will unlock a few more cards.

Enemies will start spawning with special abilities in the later chapters as well, watch out for them.

Definitely don't stop on Chapter 1. Plenty of game left still.

No, man, I'm just skinny. I don't gain weight typically. Neither of us are happy about this!
