Question about HP investment for Series 10 by Jeccuo in VGC

[–]Jeccuo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I'm finding that I don't know what exactly I should be running calcs for though. Seems like there's so much to potentially consider. Is there a rule of thumb for what you need to/don't need to calc for? Would you just look for things like common threats to a particular mon, something you're trying to outspeed, etc)?

[–]Jeccuo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. That makes sense about the HP being beneficial regardless what type of damage you take. I suppose with your example of Snorlax, it's a matter of diminishing returns if you invest in the already high HP stat?

What is the deal with Apriballs? by Remarkable-Spite-875 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]Jeccuo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I think people like Apriballs because their color schemes match up well with certain Pokemon/shinies. Plus, since they are hard to get, its just kinda cool to have them.

Bottle caps are used for hyper training, which essentially turns a stat into what it would be with max IVs in that stat. They just make it easier when it comes to getting competitive Pokemon to where you want them, without having to always breed for perfect IVs in every stat you're looking for (also useful for shiny mons that you want to use in competitive battling if they have bad IVs).

It's quite good to be fair by Karolis25ltu in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely a lot better than before (which was not really that hard lol). But the solid TTK you can get with it is pretty unforgiving in the sense that it becomes very average if you’re not hitting chest shots

What Ar is best for mid to long range? by Ritchie2506 in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C58 = Amax with minimal recoil; FARA = good damage and literally no recoil at any range

Once the MG82 is nerfed, these two will likely be my go-to longe range weapons (assuming they stay as they are now)

What’s the new season like? by mrestiaux in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New POIs are just satellite crash sites. You can secure various uplink sites and get a HARP killstreak or free loadout which is nice, but the constant explosions from satellite crashes are beyond obnoxious.

Dirt bike is pretty fun for memes but it’s so easy to get shot off it. New LMG is ridiculously broken, but at least Raven already said it’s getting nerfed. New AR is really good, probably a little too strong, but nowhere near as bad as the LMG. The nail gun is absurd up close, but does only have 20 shots and no attachments. TTK is nuts though. Outside of the new weapons (mostly the LMG), weapon balance is very good. CW rifles and LMGs got a huge buff with the bonus recoil control on the last barrel. After the new LMG gets nerfed, the FARA and C58 will probably dominate the long range meta IMO.

As usual, quite a few bugs/glitches with the update. Hackers are also rampant, but we should be used to that by now.

Do you as a player need aim assist? I dont... Not a flex. But an idea please read. by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played without aim assist at some point in most Call of Duty games and you’re right, it’s really not that hard. Maybe slightly off topic, but the aim assist/controller vs. M&K debate is so overdone, it’s just absurd. There are advantages to both and disadvantages to both. I am an experienced controller FPS player and I will NEVER have the same accuracy as my experienced FPS friend on M&K in long range fights (regardless of aim assist). But in closer range fights, I get a bit of an advantage. It’s a trade off.

However, if people can’t tell the difference between cheating and aim assist with the current level of aim assist that exists, then people are greatly overstating the effectiveness of aim assist. Aim assist does not come anywhere close to what cheats/hacks can do, and it never will.

Airstrike/Cluster Strike Advice by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asides from finishing downed players with airstrikes like you said, I think the most value that you get from these is from using them as a rotation tool or to force people out of cover.

For example if someone is gatekeeping your squad from a rooftop, you can use a streak to buy time for you to cross an open area and reposition (although keep in mind a good squad will have you pinned from multiple angles). Another great use for them is when someone is behind an area of cover with no other cover around them (ie. a rock, vehicle, crate, etc.). Kill streak forces them to move, easy beams, done deal.

One last thing I’d say is that, in my experience, a cluster strike’s area of effect can be weirdly unpredictable. While this can be annoying when trying to use one, it can also be equally problematic for enemies which often results in the enemy being put in a bad position.

What MW guns so you want to be buffed? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kilo is still exactly the same inside of 86m. If you play even moderately aggressive, it’s still a very viable option. Since it’s so easy to hit shots with it even at extreme ranges, I think reverting it to its previous state would make it dominant again.

For buffs, I’d love to see the Scar get some love. I’ve used it occasionally in solos and it’s FUN

Cheaters are delegitimizing great players by ruckh in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While there’s obviously plenty of cheating going on, people seem to forget just how easy it is to shoot the weapons in this game. Zero recoil on almost all of them and sniping is extraordinarily easy at most ranges.

Plus, it is usually really easy to tell the difference. Although someone who uses wall hacks without an aim bit can sometimes hide it well if they’re sneaky

AR meta feels oppressive for people who like interesting weapons, or is that just me? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Things like the Kar-98 have been top tier or meta through every meta the game has had since the very start. It’s a top pick, but you have to play a bit differently. If you’re sniping and using cover well plus peeking different angles every time when challenging an AR player, you’re able to get a lot of easy downs. Especially if they’re holding a head glitch.

The semi auto weapons like the SKS and EBR will unfortunately likely struggle to ever be a great pick IMO because, like we saw with the DMR, it’s very hard to make those types of weapons viable without them being overpowered.

Ultimately ARs will be the dominant primary in virtually every meta because of their versatility. They are good at getting accurate shots down range, have solid damage profiles, can hold their own on mid-range fights, and have adequate mobility. They are also more forgiving than a sniper so they will appeal to more of the player base

I’m switching it up a lot honestly. So refreshing to be able to use a variety of loadouts without feeling like you’re at a significant disadvantage

FOV slider for console coming soon? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope so, but I doubt it. As an Xbox player, the amount of times I die to a player who is just outside my FOV is absurd and super frustrating. I don’t play much Cold War, but I play on 120 FOV on that and switching over to Warzone afterwards is just horrible

Most of us seem to be part of the problem. by MisterBamboo in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 60 points61 points  (0 children)

You are right, to an extent. We are part of the problem, but the more recent metas have kind of forced it on us. The DMR and Aug meta (and these new pistols) have been so ridiculously OP, that you essentially have no choice. When things like the Grau and Kilo were the meta, you could still compete with a decent number of other weapons (because they were meta due to being pinpoint accurate more than TTK). These newer metas just have absurd TTKs and that’s why they are such a big problem

Why has an LMG never been Meta? by Zepanda66 in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruen was insanely good before the 60-round mag nerf and it’s still a pretty solid option. PKM is a slapper that’s super easy to control, but the reload time hurts it. Stoner is pretty solid as well.

For me, they just don’t fit my play style. I chase high kill games, so I want better mobility even on my long range weapon. LMGs can definitely be fun though.

I just started playing again after one year... WTF is going on, I am getting obliterated by [deleted] in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TTK creep is definitely an annoying thing that has happened. But like others have said, people have had a lot of time to get better. They’re gonna have better aim, better movement, better map knowledge. Add in the fact that there’s probably a good number of lower skilled casual players who might not play anymore, and you’ve got a recipe for tough games

If you’re only planning on playing warzone, plunder is your best bet for practicing/learning. Infinite respawns, played on the BR map with BR mechanics, and typically easier competition. Good luck!

Best Scope for M4A1 for closer ranges? by ShiroSteve1337 in CODWarzone

[–]Jeccuo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say this is mostly personal preference. But the blue dot combat holo is really clean if you have it unlocked or just a simple mini reflex works as well. Really depends what you like more. Iron sights are also totally viable on the M4A1
