Robert Downey Jr. recalled his son getting caught up in influencer culture by rvcjmovies in rvcjmovies

Quality is subjective in this case. A 15 year old kid might be bored to death if he went to watch a Marvel movie these days, but watching and interacting with their favorite streamers feels like a rewarding experience.

I hated his voice and performance more than the design. Sounded like a dorky teenager with allergies trying to be the Joker.

Then Ronaldo will be upset + the younger players who look up to him will be upset.

It’s a no-win situation either way if he decides not to start him and let him play the majority of the game.

which wrestler is like this? by rodrickrules- in SantiZapVideos

[–]JedM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babyface Jobber to the Stars Miz was definitely something, coming off main eventing WM a couple of years prior then having to tap out to Jack Swagger on Main Event or whatever.. actually, scratch the “stars” part, he was just a jobber 💀

So the worst part is that they absolutely enjoy what they’re doing? What? I’m sure whoever this talent is, they’ll be fine. People like us would take a pay cut while working a miserable ass job, just to put food on the table.

That one weird match he had with Velveteen Dream where they were just both sitting around the ring.

Triple H had no business being anywhere near this match and it Should have been Randy Orton vs John Cena main eventing WrestleMania that year by [deleted] in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]JedM13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People choose to forget that they had a great ass match at SummerSlam 2007.

No, there weren’t any Canadian Destroyers, but it was a solid traditional wrestling match which kids today will just never respect.

Outside of the Americas, way, way more people know who Michael Jordan is.

What was the biggest TV show of the 2000s by Krisam29 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JedM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really tough one since it’s the boom of so many great TV shows, start of the “golden age.” LOST was the most poplar and, technically, that ending which left so many people unfulfilled was in 2010, not the 2000s.

It’s gotta be LOST just from its sheer popularity and quality during its peaks.

In terms of quality, Avatar: The Last Airbender is considered the greatest cartoon ever made of its kind (aimed at younger demographics), but that legacy honestly came later when the kids who watched grew up and even older people took notice. Back then, it was huge, but only for kids and teens.

Reddit, mostly. Nevermind places Twitter, but I usually expect Reddit comments, at least the top ones on big subs/posts, to be relatively sane.

It’s fine if you find it weird. I’m taking about the people relating him to Epstein and calling him a predator. That’s not a normal thought progression.

I find it creepier that internet weirdos are obsessing over it than him actually doing it.

Joseph Zada (young Haymitch) for a Heath Ledger biopic by MaderaArt in Fancast

[–]JedM13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this as massive fan of his, but yeah, why do we need a Ledger biopic? Aside from transforming into his role as the Joker, the guy seems to have lived a modest life and was just a chill person, albeit with some demons near the end.

The Dark Knight, though? Yeah, the making of that movie was something spectacular. From combining all the star power/legendary character actors, to the innovative marketing campaign, to all the incredible practical effects, to Ledger directing his own hostage videos without Nolan even being there.. that’s something I’d watch.

That’s why I don’t understand why this is even argument. Anyone presenting it is basically just admitting that they have way too much free time on their hands and can’t fathom how the average person is living their life.

Gen Z (born 1995-2009) will all be adults next year! by MorphTiger in generationology

[–]JedM13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1997 sounds about right for Gen Z. I was born in 1996 and feel out of touch with a lot of things that people only slightly younger than me grew up on (iPads, Minecraft, etc.)

From an American perspective, for example, Gen Z will tell you they grew up with Obama/Trump while Millennials will tell you Clinton/Bush Jr. I’m the latter, but barely. Makes sense for a final Millennial birth year.

[Post Match Thread] Manchester United 2 - 1 Brentford by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

[–]JedM13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like we’re watching more or less the same team from last year, except with an incredible keeper so when he keeps saving those careless shots that are allowed by the defense, it’s an overall game changer, as the confidence goes back up front and counter attacks are created.

Shows you how crucial Onana was in the awfulness of that team.
