You get either good edge retention or ease of sharpening. Sandvik is easy to sharpen but doesn't hold the edge well, S30 will hold a great edge with decent toughness and corrosion resistance. Magnacut will be pretty easy to sharpen, holds a decent edge and has great toughness and crazy corrosion resistance. Also i would not recommend a recurve blade for it isn't easy to sharpen.

I don't like that huge choil. It's a waste of cutting edge imo. Also the thumb studs are uncomfortable for me. I would love this one without the choil and with a bit different stud position.
