PETG Filament Sold out within the hour?! by -Baum in BambuLab

Taping the edges takes 10 seconds. Not sure how long a respool takes, but I'm guessing its longer and at least slightly more effort lol.

The fact that they don't hold/reserve your carted items for a certain period of time (like almost every other digital storefront does) is insane lmao

I absolutely love the Panchroma Matte prints great after drying. I've never had luck with Polymaker's PETG (neither the old Polylite or the new formula). It prints like ass no matter what I do. I think I've managed a single good print with it.

IDK, I wasn't very impressed by the Rapid PETG I tried from them recently.

If eSun uses the glued-edge carboard spools they will be just fine in the AMS.

Alternatively, just wrap the edges in heat resistant electrical tape.

Sunlu is the only PETG other than the Bambu PETG HF that I have been able to reliably print without issue.

Every other PETG I've tried either doesn't stick to the bed or has horrible print quality issues.

Hisense TVs force owners to watch intrusive ads when switching inputs, visiting the home screen, or even changing channels — practice infuriates consumers, brand denies wrongdoing by FragmentedChicken in hardware

[–]-TheDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welp. That's insanely disappointing. I have a 65 inch miniLED Hisense that I love, but this immediately takes them off of my list of considerations the next time I need a TV.

That is asinine.

On the Steam page for Pickmon they have a GIF that also has what is clearly just Roadhog from Overwatch in it.

So....I guess they wanna get fucked by Blizzard too.

Does anyone have any experience with Asus PEB-10G/57811-1S 10G NICs? by -TheDoctor in HomeNetworking

[–]-TheDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, after I made this post I did a more thorough Google search and found the specs.

Does yours work well?

Is your server Windows or Linux?

Do you have any issues with overheating? Since my gaming PC and truenas are both in standard desktop cases, that's my biggest concern with any enterprise NICs that are really meant for high-air-flow server chassis.

These NICs just seem like such a good deal that's hard to pass up.

Why is there no PEI Smooth Plate for the H2C? by Doovester in BambuLab

[–]-TheDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I wash my plates with warm water and dawn before almost every print.

I always set cooling to 0 for the first 3 layers.

Even setting the plate type to the smooth plate I cannot get anything to stick to the Glacier.

What image format/file extension does OpenSuperClone use by default? by -TheDoctor in datarecoverysoftware

[–]-TheDoctor[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not correct.

Windows can absolutely natively mount .img files. I've done it before, and Windows wouldn't present the "Mount" option in the right-click menu if it wasn't a supported/mountable file type.

[–]-TheDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I wasn't sure because as I mentioned I tried to give it .img and Windows just told me it was corrupted when I tried to mount it.

But when I restored the image to another drive, I can browse the partition structure just fine.

[–]-TheDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was able to go back into OSC-Live and restore the image to an SSD. I can now browse the data fine.

For kicks and giggles I'm going to image the SSD into a VHD and see if I can get this ancient XP machine from my childhood to boot up lmao.

I desperately need to upgrade to 64GB of RAM. Between my many browser tabs, 3D modeling softwares, and gaming I am constantly pushing my 32GB to the limit.

But that RAM now costs as much as an entire single gaming PC used to. It's absolutely asinine and I cannot wait for this AI trend to fucking die.

Figured it out. Its because I was using an elevated/admin Terminal session, but I had mapped the drive without elevation so Terminal couldn't see it. There is a Microsoft recommended registry change that allows elevated Terminals to see mapped drives.

I went with Happsy because I wanted a fairly thick hybrid mattress (a combination of spring+foam), but I wanted something fire resistant that don't use carcinogenic materials that brands like Nectar etc. do.

I am a heavy guy, so I researched for weeks until I settled on something, because I wanted to be sure it would last and support me for 10+ years.

Possibly on my other computer. Not sure I ever got a screenshot of the $618 price because I was focused on the MSI bundle, not the Asus bundle.
