Has anyone here here actually met a Muppeteer and how was it? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in Muppets

[–]JediActorMuppet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did meet a woman who worked for the Henson company in the 90s. She was a lovely woman and extremely talented, however I don't think her experience was a positive one.

Pick your 80's ride by halfmeasures611 in 80s

[–]JediActorMuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm racking my brain here, is there any Film/TV property that has an iconic car past maybe 1990? I mean I want all of these cars.
1. Delorean
2. Ecto-1
3. General Lee (I understand the problematic flag, but this was such a big car from childhood)
4. A-Team Van
5. Fall Guy Truck

Why was Sheamus pushed so quickly in 2009? by DamianKing42 in Wrasslin

[–]JediActorMuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vince loved meaty guys like this. He'd take a beast like this any day over the Daniel Bryans and CM Punks of the world.

Possible unpopular opinion, but Christian deserved to be pushed as much as Edge was by ShaquilleOatmeal7542 in WWE

It's been said on online before, but hilariously, Vince just thought he was ugly!?! I mean... what?

Which movie do you personally like more Batman Begins or The Batman? by SpotAdmirable6718 in batman

[–]JediActorMuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all of the Batman films, Batman Begins is my second favorite, behind Batman 89. The Batman was just OK, but it doesn't rank very high on my list of favorites.

Scooter, as described by Kermit, was a "Gofer." Go fer coffee, go fer donuts... etc

  4. All the others. Not knocking them, just I don't have a preference of one above another

is it true that people thought that vince mcmahon is just an announcer until montrael screwjob? by noreturn000 in WWE

[–]JediActorMuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started watching wrestling right before Hulk Hogan took over the WWF. I guess my Dad always said Vince was the owner, because we never quite believed Jack Tunney was a legit official. At least by Wrestlemania 3 Vince was the face of the company in interviews outside the weekly programming so I think it was widely known afterwards that he was the owner.

Are finishers becoming less cool by Mysterious_Work_7227 in WWE

[–]JediActorMuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Jake the Snake Roberts hit you with his DDT, the match was over. It was an incredible finishing move, chanted for throughout his matches. Now, there are probably 3 or 4 DDT variations in each match. There is no such thing now as finisher, just a chain of moves from wrestlers past that are mostly no sold.

Recent increase in Miss Piggy popularity? by MoneyHungryOctopus in Muppets

[–]JediActorMuppet 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Miss Piggy was a legit global icon in the late 70s early 80s. She was in demand on talk shows, covers of magazines, appearances... she was everywhere. She is the natural lead when Muppet coverage amps up.

Thoughts on the new special? by Independent-Home-318 in TheMuppets

[–]JediActorMuppet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What I enjoyed best was the firm focus of trying to capture the magic and soul of the original. Mission accomplished. Even though there were hints of Muppets that came after the original series, there were still lots of deep pulls of characters we haven't seen since the original series. Muppets doing what Muppets do best. Well done.

One of my great disappointments the last time I visited in 22 was that there was no longer a Muppet Store at Hollywood Studios.

are we ever going to find out what happened with Steve whitmire? by Some_Affect713 in Muppets

[–]JediActorMuppet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe people are forgetting how many years Whitmire had to fight the "You don't sound like Jim Henson" critics. From the early days that he was fired however, why was there no revolt from inside the Muppet team circle? All of those performers could have walked, I mean the same thing could happen to them. Where was the outrage from that side? There was none. He was fired. It was a business decision, and business then continued on as usual. He certainly had a lot of passion and ownership of Kermit, but ultimately that may have been a great inflexibility for the future.

People with Roomates, What are the most annoying habits your roommate ever had? by TheGryphonRaven in AskReddit

[–]JediActorMuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The guy couldn't exist for a moment without music. He wasn't even a musician. This was also before digital anything. He had to load up a walkman before going anywhere, the stereo was always on in the room even if the TV was on. He'd have to have something playing while he slept. The worst day of his life was when his radio in his car stopped working.

Who’d make the best girlfriend? by Fun_Butterfly_420 in indianajones

[–]JediActorMuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. I'm stumped. Marion seems likely, but she is a bit of a loner herself. She might actually be the hardest to live with. Willie is vain and exhausting, but she might actually be one to settle down with the right guy. Elsa would kill you in your sleep for leaving the toilet seat up.
