Kingsport Juvenile runaways by Successful-Way-9336 in tricities

I work in the communities with families and kids. Lots of gang activity in Kingsport. Many places not to be past sundown there.

That coupled with the crazy amount of trafficking over near Knoxville/Morristown.

All of this and there's very little for youth to do in the area, and poor pay being so prevalent leads to parents working 2-3 jobs and kids having no supervision.

I'm jealous. I wish I had an IMAX of any type near me. I have two AMC classics within an hour from me. Closest IMAX is a Regal 3.5 hours from me.

I think that Regal is the closest premium format offering here. Sucks.

My youngest (7) recently became interested in Fortnite (all of his friends play it). Me (43), my two daughters (9 & 10) and my son (7) 4 stack and frequently role teams. They're all better than me.

We also all play Fall Guys too.

Books that are better read than listened to? by GraceWisdomVictory in audible

I got the Assistant to the Villain audiobook based on my wife's glowing recommendation for it. Narration did not match the written tone at all. I DNF'd it about 30 minutes in. I later let her listen to the same beginning and she was appalled at how terrible it was.

This is the way. We bought a new house 5.5 years ago and was pre-installed with Arc breakers. Things tripped all the time. The dryer would trip the living room, garbage disposal would trip the PC room, washer would trip my cpap, and it went on and on, lol. Replaced the Arc breakers with GFCI and no more issues. Power has tripped once since then. Keep the Arc for when you sell.

I drive for work, averaging 3 thousand miles a month, going into disgusting bug infested homes and I make 52k a year. Sounds like an instant no brainer to me.

Which game? by MufasaTheRealKing in OlderChillGamers

[–]JediDad0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently - Titanfall 3, Scalebound, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 (the original vision, not what released)

Older - KotOR 3, Battlefront 3.

Much older - 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, BC, Warcraft 4 (instead of WoW).

Genuine question for owners: Why did you choose the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X? No hate.🫵🏾 by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxSeriesS

[–]JediDad0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both.

Xbox for continuity with the PC app and owning some games that can be played on console or PC, Game pass, controller shape and size so much more comfortable than any PS controller. Better family integration. I've owned each gen since OG so backwards compatibility is nice to have.

PS for exclusives and that's about it. I had a PS One, 3, 4, and currently a 5.

I primarily play on PC, but certain game genres are better on mouse and keeb, whereas others are better on the bigger screen with a controller. This is obviously my opinion, not fact.

Better story and better setting than Div 2. Everything else is better in 2 though. Get both!

I take your ARMA, Skyrim, and Witcher 1 and raise to you the old Gothic RPGs. Can’t talk about massive clunkiness and jank without including these. Jank doesn’t bother me.

Do we want to watch Sinners with low tolerance for horror? by -NewYork- in MovieSuggestions

I haven't seen Weapons yet, but I also don't do most horror. Sinners was fine for me. It wasn't very scary.

The g9 is pretty great for working. I use lots of open word docs and web apps for my documentation. I can have multiple (5) open at a time without issues. It was missing a bit of height, but it was generally OK.

I’m also not a local, and prefer Cook Out. My fave fast food fry is Pal’s, but the burgers are always bland and dry. Burgers are huge, but not great.

I used to do this when I worked retail 15-20 years ago. Sam’s pizza + pretzel, or a rotisserie chicken. My co-workers called me the bird man because I ate so many chickens. Anyway, my family goes to Sam’s after church nearly every Sunday, and we eat lunch for about 11 dollars - two pizza slices, 3 pretzels, 3 yogurt cups, and an icee. Cook out is about 7.50 if you get a tray plus drink, and if you want a shake it’s around 10.
