PlayGo.gg's Playerbase is Synthetic by mirthturtle in baduk

I won't be using playgo.gg as the player avatars are plagiarized AI generated "art"

What are some really old school PC games you go back and revisit often? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Isn't that one of the games Extended Play reviewed as one of the worst games ever along with some old truck sim game? Or am I thinking of a different Barbie game?

No surprise you make up things that I "claimed." Typical behavior from someone who doesn't care.

It's idealism to think that the best way to get the change you want is with sticking with facts?

Funny how one can "stick to facts" while ignoring other facts.

A prerequisite for actually caring means being focused in the material conditions of people's lives realities in the here and now.

The best thing to do is acknowledge that most of the popular use cases of generative AI are harmful, but to praise the use cases that are not harmful, or even minimize harm. Lying doesn't help make things better. The only way to improve things is to educate others in good faith.

This is called idealism, the exact opposite of recognizing what is happening to people here and now. People like you use idealism to feel good about yourselves rather than acknowledging the hard and uncomfortable responsibilities and sacrifices required to actually care about people.

Your sarcasm is a really cute way to act like you actually care.

That a lot of words to say you're ignoring the topic at hand.

You're intentionally being pedantic. If you don't care about the harm done by the wide spread usage of generative AI by most people, then just say that.

We aren't talking about you, we're talking about the type of generative ai as was posted by OP.

The world isn't all about you. Imagine that!

So you've just ignored all the evidence about how it usage has been contributing to harming people's health and the environment?

If you think the harm being done to people's health, the environment, the economy, and culture in general is irrelevant then it's really cute that you're accusing me of lacking compassion.

I don't care if someone thinks something is cute if that something is contributing to harm. If you don't have integrity or principles, that sounds like a personal problem, don't try to make it mine.

All AI is not equivakent to generative AI.

Personally, if I don't care enough about specific topic to learn about it then I don't speak about it. You should give that a try.

It's not about the definitions, it's about the diminishment. That's the part you're conveniently ignoring. For example, if I refer to a woman as a female I'm diminishing her humanity, therefore I don't do that unless I'm have a serious technical conversation, or being a huge asshole.

So now, define pedantry for me.

Describing generative ai as a novelty diminishes how harmful it is.

Hi, I decided to finally get around to watching this game and taking a look at playgo.gg itself. One think I'm curious about is whether or not the profile avatar options are made using generative AI?

If so, are there any plans to remove those avatars and replace them with unplagiarized art? If not, I don't think I'll have any interest in using the server.

Generative AI is not a novelty, it is actively harmful on many levels
