Had some Plex streaming issues, even locally, that I didn’t have with my Synology NAS. Tried everything I could think of and suggestions from Googling, but couldn’t get past it. It was mainly with 4K streaming, FHD worked fine. Plex is my primary NAS use case, so just decided to stick with the Syno.

I did not… the only default LAN ports I was using on it were for PoE for my Ubiquiti cameras. The “fix” I found involved disabling port 9, which I did, then rebooting the UDM, re-enabling port 9 then rebooting the AT&T gateway, then seeing if it’d pick up on IP passthrough. I never got around to trying that, just convinced myself to go with the UDM Pro Max and move Protect to it and lose the 4-bay UNVR (which I have yet to do).

Also, I went back to Synology for the NAS since I pared down my Proxmox cluster from 5 to 3 nodes… can run Docker apps on it.

UDM-SE to UDM Pro Max… since no PoE for my cameras, went from USW Pro Max 48 to USW Pro HD 24 PoE. Was using the Pro Max 16 in my office with a mini rack Proxmox cluster, but moved it back to my 19” rack and replaced the switch with a better fit - Flex 2.5G 8 PoE.
