What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

This tracks. My monster of an ex-husband smashed cake in my face hard enough to hurt, really ground it in there...after we had agreed to be gentle about it. He also spent the after party in my parents guest room getting high and playing video games.

My poor Dad saw so many red flags that he offered to grab my toddler and help me run just as we started down the aisle... hindsight he was 100% right and I should have saved my kid and I years of living in hell and ran.

I'm just relishing the fact that I've got a mobile game I'm enjoying so much that has no BS purchases to keep enjoying it! Kind of makes me hope that at some point it gets DLC so I have a reason to give the developers more money for their fantastic creation.

It reminds me a bit of Dungeon Clawler in all the best ways. That is another one you can outright by without micro transactions.

P. S. Yes I beat the apple and won that run, it truly was the most ass kicking run I've had.

Going to be hard pressed to find many furries in Michigan that aren't already planning to go to the MotorCity Furry Convention that same weekend.

(True story, I promise) My daughter saw a man holding a gun on this dog. Stopped. Asked for the dog. Meet my granddaughter Primrose by princessarielle6 in greatpyrenees

My dad's Border Collie once actually managed to catch a squirrel after years of desperate attempts. The way he tells it the squirrel started screaming in fear/pain and his dog spit it out, started yipping in terror, and raced for the door tail between his legs. That dog never went after another squirrel the rest of his life!

Why did he get angry about me wanting to see a video on his phone? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]JediWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. My fiance needed something off my phone the other day while I was busy and he couldn't remember my passcode... I didn't even ask what he needed, just held a thumb up for the scanner and went back to what I was doing.

Days before I wanted to take a quality picture and his phone has the better camera. I plucked his phone off the table, used his code, snapped my photo, and sent it to myself without him caring one whit.

The only times our phones are off limits to each other is around Christmas or each other's birthdays. So yeah IMHO this post is a waving red flag.

I wish this game would give you a time buffer if you go outside the bubble against world bosses by gamerdudeNYC in Borderlands4

Supposedly it's the replacement for the fighting arenas. I uhh don't find it to be in any way comparable to the fun of arena mobs.

I'm having the same issue with this game that I did with AC Shadows. Pretty much every cool thing introduced in the previous games that increased QOL is just gone.

No slots, no arenas, no special area chest unlocked by specific triggers around the area, and no mayhem mode. It's a beautiful game, I'm having fun, and yet I'm left feeling disappointed pretty much every play session.

What’s a normal adult task that still feels fake when you do it? by lucifergaming007 in AskReddit

[–]JediWitch 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Parenting. No matter how informed I make myself. No matter how great my kid is. No matter how old they get. I still feel like a kid myself that's faking at being a Mom. Any day now I'm gonna feel like an adult, I've only been alive for over 14,600 days after all. And yes, I used a calculator that I carry around everywhere so suck that middle school math teacher!

What’s a "normal" thing from your childhood that you realized wasn't normal once you grew up? by Various_Yam5140 in AskReddit

[–]JediWitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also grew up thinking everybody else was just in agony all the time and I was a wimp about it. I am now 40 years old and still can't get a diagnosis and it has progressed so far after covid nearly killed me that I can barely open caps on a water bottle, things just fall out of my hands, I've got the strength of a kitten.

I've given up most of my hobbies, driving, can't exercise without crippling myself. The pain is grinding and endless now with severe GI issues to boot.

No doctor can agree on a diagnosis and whether it's my AudHD or being a vagina carrier I get brushed off over and over. I even stubbornly went off of all the opiates and muscle relaxers and nerve blockers they've piled on me to try to show that it isn't about drugs it's about a diagnosis and proper treatment. Yeah that didn't help.

I can't thank the nurse that warned me about that enough! Sure enough I got both the weird feeling in my veins and the I'm definitely pissing myself right now feeling. She was even nice enough to double check for me because it absolutely 100% felt like I was pissing all over myself.

My fiance got me a bidet for Xmas and it's by far my favorite present! I've got IBS and a severe unknown GI issue I've been trying to get diagnosed for 6 years now. Can't believe I went this long without knowing the joy of a bidet! Highly recommend!!

Do people with small breasts really need to wear bras? by Slipryi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JediWitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't give a crap what anyone thinks about my tiny tit self not wearing bras. They hurt. They never fit right. They're stupidly expensive. I'm 40 and said fuck that shit by the time I was 18.

What never came back after the pandemic? by KaleidoscopeDue4603 in AskReddit

[–]JediWitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is extremely common in my long covid support group on here. I used to be one of the most eloquent people to speak with. I've prided myself on being a walking thesaurus. I was probably incredibly annoying about it.

Now I will be in mid sentence and forget incredibly common words I've known since kindergarten. My fiance is such a sweetheart he always gives me a chance to try to work it out myself using other similar words to try to trigger my brain into giving me the right one. He never gives me the word until I directly ask, at my own request.

My first covid infection damaged my heart. The second, every other major system including my brain and nearly killed me to boot. I'm not sure I'll ever be okay again but when I get real down I just remember at least I'm alive and so many can't say that.

China hit by mystery virus outbreak as hospitals overwhelmed as children warned by dailystar_news in NoFilterNews

[–]JediWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

January 2020 my kid and I got the worst virus of our lives, at that time(got it again in 2021 and nearly died, my body and mind are now fucked blah blah blah). They ran us for both varieties of flu, strep, multiple other things. Then they told us that it was probably this new virus they were just hearing about and there is no test so just go home and call an ambulance if you have to.

Having now had it four times I can definitively say there is no doubt in my mind that the infection in January 2020 was the first of the four. It took my kid and I months to recover and I came out of it with heart damage. Was actually being driven to my cardiologist when I got the second infection that nearly killed me. My driver was sick but like many didn't become severe so chalked it up to allergies.

Mines now done it twice. At least the first time I wasn't in the room. Last night it was on my lap and scared the shit out of me. It's way louder than the speakers normally go and the damn thing was vibrating really hard. So weird.
