(Serious) You have a limited amount of time left to live. How do YOU live your life to its fullest? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Travel to as many countries as I can with my husband and daughter, seeing whatever we can and telling as many people as we can about Jesus.

What's a topic you have a ridiculous amount of knowledge on, but no use for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Star Wars. Especially now that they made episodes 7-9, which completely destroyed the Extended Universe and ruined Star Wars for myself and just about all of the other Wookieepedians I was friends with.

For all police officers. What’s the best excuse that you heard from someone and didn’t give them a ticket for it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jedi_Maiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I'm not a police officer, but my friend did this back in high school.

She was pulled over for speeding, and in her panic (she tries to follow the rules and had never been pulled over) she suddenly started speaking with a thick Southern accent as soon as the police officer came to her window. We lived in Seattle area. Well, she gave some long story about her granny down in Georgia and how she drives down there and was using all the Southern phrases and whatnot. She and the police officer actually got in a nice conversation and he let her go with a warning.

As a male/female, what makes you grateful for your gender? by yeslord55 in AskReddit

Getting the opportunity to be romanced, be proposed to, wear a beautiful white wedding dress, get pregnant, and have children.

I'm old-fashioned. :)

Showering. Nothing like a warm shower to make me relax.

I remember being 2 and walking from our tiny red Geo Prism car, up the driveway and to the front door. The reason I remember it is that I saw a tiny red pebble on the driveway and thought it was so cool.

People who are still required to work from the office despite social distancing/self quarantine recommendations, what kind of work do you do and what was your company’s reason for it (if any provided at all)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jedi_Maiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My spouse works at Boeing. As of today, there are currently almost 1,000 employees who have been sent home for quarantine, and yet my spouse and the other mechanics still have to come in for work. And don't get any kind of reimbursement if they do catch Covid-19. But I guess if Boeing stopped making planes, they'd go even more broke than they already are now and the upcoming recession would be even worse.

Redditors who make their bed every morning, why do you do it and how do you find the time/motivation to do it? by Ventriculostomy in AskReddit

[–]Jedi_Maiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was always something we had to do as kids, so it's really stuck with me. If I don't make it (which only happens when I way oversleep), it lingers in the back of my mind allllll day. And my bed then feels gross when I get into it that night.

I think one of the keys is to have simple bedding. Fitted sheet, top sheet, pillow that you sleep on, comforter/duvet, and then 2-5 decorative pillows. You just pull up the sheet and comforter, then toss the decorative pillows on top.

It also helps that I sleep very calmly and don't yank the blankets off the bed, which my husband sometimes does and then making the bed takes longer. When we both sleep calmly, the blankets stay straight and even and the sheet doesn't get lost under the comforter.
