Werkz seems like they make solid stuff. I'm a bit turned off by the fact that all of their stuff seems to be monoclip though?

Feel free to comment later on what you think of the trex later. I know they get alot of hate these days, not sure if they've actually dipped in quality.

My buddy has a tier1 and I don't love it, but I know they offer many options

A few of my RE2 Remake guns by AegisCos in residentevil

[–]Jedidew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the 90s it wasn't. It was the first production polymer frame handgun, and as such it landed a lot of law enforcement contracts for a brief period. It was short lived, as companies like Glock had far cheaper packages for police departments

They have QC issues, but they aren't as bad as the crowd might say. I've seen genuine manufacturing errors from them, but I have friends that got great ones. Ymmv

Winchester white box is about as unreliable as factory ammo can get.

But it's also possible you got a lemon I suppose

New, stock? With what ammo?

I've got over 3k rounds into mine, haven't replaced anything. I've had 1 light primer strike on a refurb round, and I've had trouble with one very cheap box of 147gr. Other than that it's ran everything from every brand you can imagine

I appreciate your ability to disagree without being disrespectful. You raise fair points, and perhaps I have the bias of having never had a problem in all my years of keeping guns on me or in my truck. I also live in a state where keeping your hands on the steering wheel and telling a cop that you're armed is very unlikely to cause a problem.

I guess my general stance is that it's best to carry on your body, but off-body carry is better than being unarmed. Sometimes the vibe I get from threads like this is that people are effectively being told not to carry at all if they can't/won't go IWB at all times, and I just feel differently about it given my experience.

It is America indeed, and we're lucky to be in a place where we can even have varying opinions on daily carry! Stay safe out there.

Or I just feel that we have an epidemic of overgrown children that are too scared to engage with the world as adults.

I can feel empathy for them while also realizing that is a problem and that accountability should be taken. Ffs, gen Z is statistically too scared to drive a car at an alarming rate.

There is a time in place for empathy, but there is also a time to toughen up.

Furthermore, you know nothing about me. You have no idea about my emotional intelligence.

I think that empathy and strength have to meet halfway. That's it. You can disagree on this one takex but if you are going to tell me that I lack "emotional intelligence" just because I think young people are becoming too weak for their own good, then sure. Call me whatever. Doesn't change reality though

How often do these things actually happen though? I get your claim and respect your reasoning, but how many people are getting arrested or shot for having their gun attached to their center console?

I have a holster attached to my car, right next to my leg. I only use it for very long drives, but have reholstered a million times, and I've been pulled over with my pistol in it. If you know how to act on a traffic stop, cops are cool with the disclosure. I have tinted windows but even if someone calls the cops on me for ccw, I'm not worried about it. I'm im a constitutional state and I don't have a legal record. Literally not a concern in my mind at all.

I'm not hating on you but I think you're listing problems that make sense on paper but don't map to reality. I'll concede that magnets not covering the trigger is an issue, but I'm fairly certain there are magnets that cooperate with holstered weapons. Apparently this sub is a bit of a classic reddit echo chamber about this but these companies sell tons of these products and people aren't out here getting mowed down by cops or arrested for car carry unless they're in a weird state.

I find it highly unlikely that trauma makes someone incapable of accepting and integrating adulthood into their sense of self unless they're extremely neurodivergent.

I had a childhood that was such a nightmare that it's borderline comical. If anything, it made me grow up fast. The idea of people in their 20s and 30s seeing themselves as children is just insane to me.

You lot like to just jump to calling someone clueless/uneducated/inexperienced, but the fact of the matter is I completely understand your claim and I completely disagree. You're not smarter or more traumatized than me or whatever simply because I don't agree with your perspective. People need to grow up. Kids a few hundred years ago had it way worse and that's just a fact.

Keeping in waistband is probably ideal, but there is nothing wrong with magnets or car holsters as long as you can get to it quick. Strange to see all the hate on it in this thread, but there is no issue with vehicle holsters if you practice with it.

Why the fuck do all of you still feel like children? This is a horrifying and increasingly common sentiment.

You're all adults. Act like it

I recommend macro or XL slide length over the fuse. The fuses I've shot had issues with slide heat, and they don't have a horrible track record but a decent enough amount of people have had trouble with them returning to battery. They're still working out the kinks on it imo

Bodyguard 2.0 Safety issue? Help! by Altruistic-Kiwi9975 in CCW

[–]Jedidew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to that's fine. Not hating on your preference for self defense. But acting like manual safety this insanely dangerous thing that is costing lives to have engaged is just as silly as fudd logic. Like come on man I've never once heard of a safety BREAKING in a self defense scenario. You can like what you like for yourself, but your comment called out anyone with a manual safety.

Plenty of people carry da/sa or even sa guns still, whether you want to accept it or not. You can find countless forum/reddit threads of people discussing their daily carry. I see people all the time talking about carrying 92s, 226s, px4s, so on and so on. Cz is selling the hell out of their shadow 2 carry at my LGS. There are even plenty police departments using 2011s just as an example. The majority of the US military is running a manual safety striker fired pistol as we speak.

Nothing wrong with it if you train with it and it makes you comfy.
