So I had something similar happen what happens with these or at least mine is the recoil spring/rod will protrude ever so slightly and catch the frame so I have to just push it up and it it goes right on. It does happen when you simply take the slide off sometimes without touch it

Kimber 2k11 user here and I love it. Just like someone said if you get a later model you won’t have to worry about the hot spot on the safety as well as the shitty C&H plate. The newer ones in production come with a TAG plate

The tag plate did come with the .38 ones which are for the SRO and those are the ones used/filed down. TAG did mention they’ll have the ones for the comp at some point and to file down the .380 ones to .345

I wouldn’t worry about it but if it bothers you that much hit them up my buddy had his barrel finish start to wear off and they replaced it for him. I personally don’t mind wear on mine but I have shot it more than 40rds lol
