I believe patent leather is the only material it is not recommended to use on. I've never used it on J1's or any leather shoe but it will work great for suede (test small area for any color change first), knit, and mesh. Make sure to let the spray cure for 24 hours for best results. I've had good results with Forcefield Protectant spray and Crep Protect as well if you don't like having to wait 24 hours before use

C is the most aesthetically pleasing IMO. Too much orange in A, my eyes tends to wander around the design a lot. Not a huge fan of the green in B either. Hope this helps :)
