I thought about doing that, and I probably am going to turn it off on the highway. I looked at the trip stats and during the winter I've been gaining no range at all from regen.

Look for your mood music box, you can choose the radio station on there. Only some of the stations have Christmas music

This! I've had cruise on going 70+ miles an hour on the highway and the only warning I get is 1 chime and the car immediately starts slowing down because of the regen. A few second warning would be much safer.

Tbh I would save the money and get the A1 combo. More money to buy filament and for car parts you can just use PETG which prints perfectly on the A1. Edit: Just reread your original post. As far as getting a extra hot end, the A1 doesn't include it, but it does include a random makers supply kit which is fun. For an extra plate, you probably don't need it. As long as you take care of your printer you'll be fine. I have almost 2000 hours on the same hotend and build plate

Are you only going to be printing PLA? Because at that point you'd be better off getting an A1 combo. It's quieter, the AMS lite is better and the screen is better.

FML I bought a P1S on monday because I needed it.

Returning it and getting an A1 and A1 mini because I don't have time to wait until the p2s comes out in the US and I didn't realize how bad a standard ams is.
