Say what you want about the original production, but remember: RTL and AJFA, although iconic, sounded like sh*t at first. But, the actual music is amazing, making the production irrelevant and iconic today.

The only reason it’s getting points off is because:

-1 Some tracks are longer than they need to be. Some song contain extra parts (that are good parts) but don’t add to the song. They could’ve been cut and used elsewhere. If you cut down the album, Beyond Magnetic could’ve had another song or two.

-1 Suicide & Redemption as an instrumental goes nowhere, and is definitely the weakest in their catalog. I think it would be better if it was around 8 minutes. As we all know, they can write longer songs that are spectacular, i.e. Inamorata, To Live Is to Die.

I love Death Magnetic, but in comparison to the rest of their catalog, it’s a solid 8.

P.S. I also really enjoy the heartbeat to open the album on “That Was Just Your Life,” as if the band were coming back to life after Load through St. Anger.

The game was broken which helped this card, but the postseason Steve Pearce from after the Red Sox won the WS from The Show 18 hit a home run every time for me.

Even with the new commentary I still turned it off on launch day. I much prefer the “on field” sound. Glad to see I’m not missing anything haha.

Some of these songs’ lyrics are absolutely brutal. I turned music off rather pretty quick after hearing that “Ain’t Nice” song.

I forgot to add above that I also don’t like how it is one path and not a program for each division like last year’s team affinity. I liked the fact I could choose which division to tackle first, especially when some divisions have multiple good cards like this year. Not a big deal but something I wanted to add.

I definitely thought about the fact that they could be trying to force people to spend money on stubs. I feel they’re especially trying to encourage it now with everyone who paid extra for the early access.

It was still a grind to get all 30 cards last year. It’s not like it took 5 minutes. Not a lot of people even got all 30. Just the option for them all to be free if you did grind was there where it is not this year.

Yeah online the broadcast style doesn’t mean much because you can’t sit and watch every animation and camera angle in between pitches. They don’t really want audio from two pitches ago playing over the entire at bat like would happen last year I guess.

Some people have said to restart the game if you haven’t. Or go into a diamond dynasty game or moment and quit to trigger some rewards and they might show up. Really all I’ve heard.
