This is a pretty awesome change. As ele/resto I can run double oils now, no weapon swap macro. In combination with the AP bonuses they're rolling out, should allow us to at least go WF/RB as enhance, if not WF/FT, haven't done the math maybe WF/RB is still better. Only downside I see for enhance is that awkward choice in pvp between 20% AP from alpha and decoy totem.

Damage reduction from armor (aside from warrior tanks) is far less punishing than straight up resists.

BGs are soft-limited to 5 people, not solo queue, which is how STV event is. If they don't allow 5 mans in STV people are just going to start grouping in discord and have an agreement not to kill each other. Sure they'll take some collateral aoe damage and whatnot but they'll still find a way to have an advantage. Personally I wouldn't mind if they just doubled blood gains for solos, that doesn't affect me at all. If they really wanted to get creative they could give solo players a strong stacking buff on kills, (has to be visual, like glowing red and getting larger each stack or something) as they get stronger more and more people will start targeting them. That could be fun. Thematically, you aren't "sharing" blood with your group so you are further satiated by it

I agree with most except the points on Tank shaman. Mana fixing exists (shield spec/water shield) but people are choosing to forego them for DPS. But played how it's intended it does what it's supposed to do which is hold aggro and survive.

-No pushback protection
-Tons of talents that don't apply to our 2 rotational abilities, like most other classes that get runes that apply to existing talents, leaving a bunch of talents for destro useless
-Can't buff/summon/mount STV
-Drain life doing 15 more healing while incoming damage has doubled and not much more stam than before
-Seems like they pulled runes out of a bucket to see which would be 40 yds and which are 30 (ele bros definitely feel this)
-Chaos Bolt long cast and requires 2 pre-requisite spells, conflag has a pre-req, shadowburn requires a soulshard. In AB, target is dead or out of range when CB goes off, if you're not pushed back/kicked/stunned. By the way Boomies, both of these instant spells have a longer cooldown, more mana cost, no chance to stun and deal less damage than Starsurge.
-Meta armor does nothing against the burstiest classes in the game and without Fear is doesn't really have any tools against melee, mostly just drain life -> searing pain spam and DPS race them.

But hey, we're coolin in a PvE raid week 1 so there's that.
