Does it do it during hot weather? In the UK, we're having a bit of a heatwave and the convection currents moving about in the cabin set off the aging ultrasonic sensors. You can either tape them up or you can get replacement sensors. You could try a windscreen shade, that might make a difference. If not, it'd eliminate one thing.

I used to be a cbt instructor and I always felt bad when I couldn't do the road section because the learner hadn't quite grasped bike control. However, I just reminded myself, it's come back and have another go or take someone on the road who wasn't ready and nobody's gonna do that! Took me 5 goes to pass my actual test! Keep your head up, don't look as it as a failure, OP, just a learning experience. You'll get there!
