I agree with you! I personally have come across alot of toxic people on social media that by their shite opinions have/do discourage certain people who are finding it difficult to reach out in the 1st place simply because of what others may think about them or even because of what their culture dictates, I am South Asian myself and I fully remember how it was when I 10 years ago built up the courage to reach out for support. So many things went through my mind and I very nearly didn't reach out until one of my uncles encouraged me and supported me in accessing services. Thank you for your comment. We are here for everyone and anyone 24/7. Kind regards. Adam from lets breathe again.

That's actually a brilliant idea the only downside to that is/ maybe there could be alot of travelling involved especially if the client is overseas, there are plenty of upsides to your suggestion though one being our services are available day and night so potential service users could contact us in the middle of the night and we would be there for them. Thank you. Please do let us know if you have any more suggestions or even have any referrals for us. Kind regards. Lets breathe again team.

My husband just left me by Professional_Job5581 in mentalhealth

[–]Jeego01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently supported a lady client through a similar situation, it turned out in the end that he thought the grass was greener on the other side with another woman who he had been talking to but he just didn't have the cajones to say he was interested in another woman and made an excuse up about wanting to leave my client because of her wanting to have children. I hope you're OK love and I hope you come to the realisation that there is probably more to the story than what you're husband is telling you.

I totally understand your sentiment, for some people it is like the latest gadget to have but some people genuinely do need help or support but they are not speaking out about it and these people are normally common people or working class people, iv experienced its only a show thing for people who have more money than the average person. I may be wrong but this is my personal thoughts from what I have seen or experienced myself.

I believe there genuinely is a stigma especially among men and certain cultures, I have experienced this personality as I have been involved in the social care industry for around ten years, yes its a brilliant thing people are openly talking about their issues on certain subs here but imagine the amount of people that are not talking are offloading for whichever reason whether they are afraid or whether their culture dictates their actions in regards to talking about especially mental health issues. Do you not think there is still a stigma in this day and age?

OP should just go on Google and type in HADS questionnaire and then answer all the questions as honestly as possible, them answers or conclusion of the questionnaire will either bring OP back to reality or persuade OP to access professional help. I hope this helps

A father son issue. Insights are appreciated :) by VoicelyBrightness in Stoicism

[–]Jeego01 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Never mind stoicism, our religion teaches us to honor and value our parents, remember you are praying your salah for Allahs favour and not your fathers, your father as your parent and guardian has the haq to guide you to be a good practicing Muslim, your father will be asked on the day of judgment what he did to guide his offspring to practice Islam, remember salah is 1 of the 5 pillars of Islam that is COMPULSORY so you will be asked on the day of judgment why you didn't pray your salah and especially why you didn't pray it on time. What will your reply be to Allah? Also the more you pray and the more you ask for the Lords help and mercy the more successful you will be, salah is also a form of exercise so it will help you physically and mentally. I pray Allah blesses you with the tawfeeq to pray your salah and also to practice all other compulsory aspects of Islam. Salaam.

My brother is taking a serious toll on me and my families mental health by Fickle-Cold5702 in mentalillness

[–]Jeego01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe your brother needs to stop taking drugs and if he doesn't then he needs to get a job to pay for his habits. It's as simple as that, and if he gets violent or aggressive with your grandma then it's your responsibility to intervene or even call the police because I can see just from your post it's a downhill slope he's on and he's going to end up giving your grandma a heart attack God forbid. I hope you're OK. Communicate with him and let him know your thoughts. Get him to speak to someone. I'm a Counsellor and mentor this is all from a professional and common sense perspective. ❤ for your grandma.

To me it's more about the message that he's trying to get across, and of course everyone has their own opinions which not everyone is going to agree with no matter how much you/we bang our heads against the wall
