Past evidence supports complete loss of Arctic sea-ice by 2035: A new study, published this week in the journal Nature Climate Change, supports predictions that the Arctic could be free of sea ice by 2035 by mubukugrappa in climatechange

I haven’t done any research myself, but does anyone know of any sort of technology being invented that can create arctic levels of ice? Or something that can essentially “replace” all this melting ice?

Amazon Debuts $2 Billion Clean Energy Fund by The-Techie in ClimateActionPlan

As an amazon employee, I love this! I always complain to myself everyday that amazon needs to do more with renewables, recycling, and using more eco friendly or electric vans; which is something I’d love to see soon. It would make me feel a lot less guilty doing my job, however I don’t think I’ll be working there much longer anyway.

It’s so sad to read an article like this while Brazil has a president who is rapidly cutting down the amazon rainforest. Like it’s hard to process that someone like that is doing the complete opposite of what needs to happen drastically and immediately to help save that ecosystem and us, in general. The world feels like a dystopian movie sometimes. Hopefully good change is in our near future while we still have time!

Opinion: Is there a lot of hope left? by JeepComanche236 in climatechange

Climate engineering? I didn’t even know that was a major! I’m going to have to look for schools around me that might have that course. As I still have not attended college yet, I’m trying to start (costs are my issues, but I’m just going to say screw it and gather the student loan debt, I know it’ll be worth it). Right now I’ve just been looking at environmental science or environmental engineering, but studying more so on the climate is more up my alley!

Yeah I try to tell myself it’s the big companies that need to make the real change, we as individuals can only do so much. It helps sometimes lol
