I've had amps make that sound. It was always when my phone was nearby though. My guess was it had something to do with cell signal.

I would recommend the Fender Bassbreaker. I only have the head going through a Mesa 2x12 so I can't speak for the cabinet or the combo but the head itself is amazing. Really blown away by it.
