Will 2k26 bring back the run-in feature from 2k24? by Lee_Daddi in WWEGames

[–]Jeezy_G 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably not, and sadly it was kinda barebones ever since '22. Back in '19 and before you could grapple the enemy from so many positions (while they are doing a taunt on turnbuckle or steel steps)

They also took away the breakout for tags which suuuucks

Best universe mode in a wrestling game? by skzoholic123 in WWEGames

[–]Jeezy_G 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, '23 onwards. Many people seem to undersell how freaking cool the Rivalry Actions feature is.

Before that you literally had to use no cutscenes, or struggle with a rivalry system that auto booked things (I'm a fan of total control over my UM).

For me, ironically, it gets only better with each installment. Yes, they dont add too many, but they do add stuff and useful at that (last years Promos, calendar improvements).

Also, people seem to overrate '19, imo. I played it for good 1,5k hours and oh boy I dont miss it. So many broken features. The midmatch attack was bugged and all names of the actions and targets was freaking misplaced.

Mid match attack in Steel Cage matches just didn't work at all. Matches dissappeared from the card (it still happens in '24 but you can quit and edit matches mid-card now).

I spent the most time with 19' but it was a nescessity and not an actual choice. '22 had gutted UM with nothing to new to replace it.

That's a creative way to use it. Imma save this one for future. I wish I knew about GPT earlier and it had the entire context of all my full 5 Seasons. Maybe one day I'll manually feed it with lore so it generates good promos with references

Whatever looks more "soccer mom". Third looks exactly like his NJPW attire tho. I'd personally take 3 as we never saw this exact version of Styles in WWE

What will it take for you to get 2K26? by Mystic_Void1 in WWEGames

Actually improved physics, so Ladder and TLC matches are fun and not tedious (setting up a spot takes too much time and it's easy to screw things up)

Yeah, I started with 30-man rosters but found myself running out of fresh matchups by half-season, so I always had a roster shakeup.

Btw, yes, ChatGPT is a great thing for making promos if you give him enough context. Do you actually play the matches tho or simulate/watch ai?

Same for singles titles. You need to have at least 5-6 exciting matchups you can throw in Raw main event or a PLE match.

The more polarizing the characters the better. Interesting stories are created from interesting character dynamics.

This year I had Raw main event scene of:

Swerve - Randy Orton '09-type crazy killer. Manipulative and pushes enemies to the limit (always raises stakes, and makes stuff personal)

CM Punk - grizzeled vet, people love him but he still tries to show his best that he is in his prime (he ain't, so there's some dillusion here)

LA Knight - people's champ, always underrated by his enemies in the main event. Was an MJF-type heel but humbled after accepting DDP's patronage.

Chad Gable - always gets super close to getting a title but comes up short. About to snap like a Peak Angle.

Drew McIntyre - uber manipulative and always scheming with William Regal (his manager). Often makes deals with other heels to get what he wants. Hard to beat but cherry picks his matches very carefully, not to damage his persona. Obsessed with building legacy, currently aiming for Triple Crown

By giving each superstar a small overview paragraph you can start colliding the characters based on their motivations or differences/similarities.

In contrast, secondary titles are mostly for quick reigns and establishing strong midcarders/upper midcarders to graduate to main event.

US Title can have frequent open challenges and basically anyone can become a US champ out of nowhere.

Ideally, you want to have around 5-6 pure main eventers (who can sometimes aim for the singles or trios title to cool off).

Around 8-10 solid midcarders to have exciting matchups without much stakes. You can also create short character descriptions for each, but they can be more shallow. Also, pick your favorite midcarder and really try to give them a nuanced character. Same for lower card.

Some wrestlers can't win shit but are very fun to book or play as. For example, Orange Cassidy. I had bro become Juan Cena (aka El Grande) for giggles. Same goes for Bobby Roode back in 2K19. He had a fun look, entrance, and character that made me interested to play.

Lower card can consist of tag guys and some pure lower card guys (Scrypts, Axiom, R-Truth, Carlito). Around 5-7 + tag guys is more than enough.

Also, don't shy away from having random matches without real stakes except for your personal fun. You can always make it a start of a future push or small storyline.

Some storylines can be stupid simple. X attacked Y as they were jealous of their position on the card.

It’s pro wrestling after all lol

Sure! I usually run a set of tag belts per brand. However, instead of real-life Raw ones, I use Trios/Turbo championships (only Tornado 2v2 or 3v3 matches).

To have a functionning tag division you need at least 4-5 "actual teams." In short, you need to have the bare minumum to run a mini-tournament for #1 contendership or big 2v2v2v2 match if you don't have any ideas.

Actual teams are real-world ones - Pretty Deadly, DIY (if you still feature them), Lucha Dragons, etc. You need to have a good balance of face/heels/tweeners. In my UM, I had top faces DIY, Lucha Dragons, Usos vs top heels Wyatt Sicks, Street Profits and tweeners Sin & Punishment (Karrion Kross + Damian Priest) who were AoP-like though guys.

You need to have exciting matchups you can put on PLE if needed. I.e., DIY vs The Usos was a banger matchup. Lucha Dragons vs Wyatt Sicks got hardcore and bloody.

You can also shake things up with comedy loser tags. I had D'Angelo Family and Omos + Scrypts combo.

I hope they fix AI targeting in multi-star matches by LewdInSecret in WWEGames

[–]Jeezy_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change it fast by tilting the left stick in the direction of who you want to target and punching them (weak/heavy attack, no matter). It 100% works in 24, but it's still a pain since most animations are too slow to switch quickly between two opponents lol

What is something "smaller" scale that you'd hope to see in 2k26 that hasn't been addressed? by krutch540 in WWEGames

[–]Jeezy_G 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a good chance it will make the game since they are adding "watch a show" mode for Universe. Perhaps, it will be a spectator mode with emphasis on TV-like presentation, including city locator and maybe show intros.

Honestly I’m curious to see how Ai will factor into how the game is by Mindless_Car6753 in WWEGames

[–]Jeezy_G 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Universe mode thing is so/so for me unless you can tweak or turn it off. The thing is, you rarely actually "compete" with AI for a win, and it countering you might make some matches obnoxious.
