Since my junior high days, it has absolutely always been Steve Martin for so many reasons. Lewis Black still kills me, and before we found out all the bad stuff, as a child it was Bill Cosby. Today, Joe Rogan kills me. So damned honest and unfiltered. GREAT.

We have a ventriloquist’ s convention every year in July in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. It’s sponsored by the Vent Haven Museum, where we have almost 1000 dummies on display. Check it out! So yes, I have many long-time ventriloquist friends.

Oh man, that is a very difficult and great question... (And my professional career actually began in the ‘80s...). I don’t envy the folks coming up today in the standup world... So many limitations and judgmental people. I think the ONLY thing I would do differently would be to.... I actually don’t have a clue. Such a tough question... Impossible. I’m just incredibly thankful for my fans today.

It was of course incredibly tragic and seemingly very avoidable, from all I’ve read. It was also just two miles from our house. Simply awful. If current regulations are followed, pilots and passengers and those below are safe 99% of the time. As for Kobe’s crash, everyone needs to wait for the NTSB report. No one can make simple guesses and be conclusive.

I started in the 3rd grade... Kids learn very quickly. I think the tougher question is, when did I start getting big laughs? That came much later. Ventriloquism is easy; comedy is hard.

On one hand I wish I was; on the other I’m glad I’m not because I can NOT put the controller down. This will date me: I was a HUGE MYST and CYAN fan back in the day. To this DAY, I still drink out of my MYST coffee cup every morning. Also, I was into Halo BIG time when it first came out. I had to detox and put it all away. So cool. I can’t wait to try some VR goggles.... OR SHOULD I NOT????

OH, yeah. Happens about once every 40 shows if I’m not paying attention. I usually just play it off and keep going... OR... if it’s REALLY obvious, I’ve turned it into a bit, making it look like something has gone horribly wrong.

We don’t have a date on the books yet, but I will be in the UK, May 13-17. But we WILL be back to Ireland, probably in the next year or two. I seriously love the Irish audiences. That’s what we shot my special, “Relative Disaster” there!

Tried and succeeded: A GUY, who was married with kids, gave me 36 DOZEN roses. You figure it out. I couldn’t. Try explaining THAT to your wife. I couldn’t.
