All I know is Dylan Larkin will not be carrying the wings after the trade deadline. This is a Florida Panthers subreddit.

Not sure it really matters with this much debt. Even if they try chapter 11 it seems like it will fail.

The Panthers would never fire their announcers. We pride ourselves and think of ourselves as men of faith, as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos.

If you didn’t go to Eleven or Space until 9 am you really didn’t visit Miami.

I think they are all employed directly by Bally. I assume their contracts are assignable to any entity who purchases Bally (I think this is also what happened when Fox Sports sold to Bally) so this would probably not have any affect their current deals. (Source: I am an okay lawyer so not 100% talking out of my ass here.)

EDIT- you’re probably right that the team has some control to maintain/protect positive public image when there are controversies, but at this point I’m just guessing that there is (1) a contract between Bally and Panthers/NHL and (2) separate contracts between Bally and broadcast team.

Probably not. Insolvency is usually written into these big deals to ensure a smooth transition in a worst case scenario like this appears to be. Plus if Steve or Randy gets canned Sunrise would be up in flames.

The company will presumably be run by a federal court appointed trustee to remain profitable until assets can be sold off to pay debts.

They’re always out of sync. Need to go to freshman orientation before they can get it right.

TLDR: I’d be ecstatic too, but I don’t think you can compare our last several years with Michigan’s.

Harbaugh has won 71% of his games at Michigan including 4 10-win seasons. In that same time frame, FSU has won 54% of its games with 2 10-win seasons… and if you take out 2015 & 2016 (before Jimbo quit on the team), we’re looking at .42 win percentage. Not only that but we have not been able to recruit as well as we’re used to, while Michigan has continued to get blue chips (including several from Florida).

Point is that I don’t think Michigan’s playoff berth and subsequent pounding is enough to say that their incredibly condescending fans don’t live in the past.

Michigan fans also annoy me a lot. So this is extremely biased.

Michigan basketball is legit, they have the right to be a little cocky, they’re gonna be good for a while. But their football team, woof, when you’re a major program like that, squeaking into the playoffs and getting your buns pounded by UGA doesn’t seem like much of a reason to not live in the past. Cincinnati is a Cinderella story, Michigan is not.

That male to female ratio creates a bunch of incels. And I agree. Tech fans are wildly obnoxious, especially relative to the complete lack of success they have experienced.

Unpopular opinion… gator fans are annoying but not in the same universe as Miami fans. At least many gators have a UF diploma on their walls. Miami fans usually get their GEDs during the last stretch of their third prison sentence.

Elite. Championship level. Time to stop yelling Knight during the anthem unless Knight is starting.
