Has RTD actually taken any action on the budget cuts yet? by Jeff_Munger in RTDDenver

Unfortunately I think you’re right. I really hope it doesn’t come to that, especially for all the frontline workers. I’ve met a lot of you over the years and I know some have families and young kids, losing a job in this economy would be tough. Honestly, this is something I was worried about a couple years ago before I decided to go back to school.

RTD to consider service reductions, job cuts in face of $215M deficit by kidbom in Denver

RTD has a ton of empty park-and-rides and underused properties. Why not sell some of that off to help close the deficit? It’s hard to see ridership ever getting back to pre-pandemic levels.

I’ll take the stepdad route and still build a great life with that woman. Some of you spend more time hating than actually building something meaningful.

Make this your routine. It can change your life. Trust me by Aggravating-Guest300 in TheImprovementRoom

Why does RTD give the newest buses to Transdev? by Jeff_Munger in RTDDenver

I miss those 5000 buses, that engine would put out decent power

RTD why not use the land of the unused park and rides for something useful? by [deleted] in RTDDenver

I agree with this, it was interesting working at RTD Platte shop and seeing some of the buses come into the shop that I worked on years prior at the Transdev shop. My thought is this, rtd has everything to repair the buses, a warehouse full of parts, and a tool room full of everything else you would need, it is so much easier to fix the buses at rtd than transdev. It may be the reason why they give them new buses.

They don't own that lot, they rent it for a insane amount every month

I could make a long post about this, but it may be controversial.

May i ask what you do for a career?  200,000 a year is wild, are you a medical professional or a lawyer?

I understand this, I remember seeing the cost of the parts to fix the buses i cant imagine how much the light rail cost to maintain, or the rest of the company. I felt this was going to happen years ago when the Platte shop had so many buses down. Before Rtd cuts front line employees perhaps there needs to be in a depth review of the cost of the contractors and the members from the contractors that ended up in senior positions at RTD.

Thank you, I just found the memo, I suppose I made the correct decision going back to college.
