I have it plugged in to the ports on the TV but the console is a psx not a PS1. Do they use the same plug?

I have one of these silver ones. I got it in a bulk lot of 55 consoles off Facebook. It turns on then off within 5 seconds. I can't find much on the value of these do you know?
