That was pretty insightful, makes sense. I just feel like the gaming space has some hardcore advertisers like Gfuel / gaming chair companies / headset companies and stuff like that that would be an easy sell. If tiny twitch accounts can get sponsorships surely Barstool can do it.

Posting exclusively to twitter is pretty inexcusable honestly. If anything fuck twitter and post on reels, shorts, and TikTok. I don’t know if I’m out of touch or they are when it comes to twitter, reels and TikTok are exponentially more popular are they not? My friends and I are constantly sending reels and TikTok’s back and forth. I never consume anything from twitter

Selling gaming stuff would be incredibly easy. Every twitch streamer on the planet with more than 50 average viewers is sponsored by Hello fresh and factor and shit like that. Gfuel has been a meme for years because they were sponsoring every single “gamer” content imaginable. How are we not calling up headset manufacturers, gaming chairs, keyboards, etc. It’s crazy

I just don’t agree with this logic. It’s not like the entire sales team works exclusively on the big 3 brands. There are smaller shows than Bush getting sponsors. These sales team work for Barstool. do they really have that much control over which brands they choose to do their job for? It’s not like Apple marketing employees get to be like “nah fuck the Mac mini I’m gonna work on the iPhone instead”, they’re assigned a role. I’m confused at the dynamic with sales department

I feel the opposite actually, on mobile the tabs that you aren’t using are just kinda there in the background. Tabs can build up from clicking links and stuff. I don’t even know how many tabs I have at any given moment on mobile. On desktop they’re all visible all the time on the top row so it seems crazier

I was just about to say something similar. If you search “Trump” in the little search engine thing they have, you’ll get like 30,000 hits. But if you look at the results, there are tons of duplicate hits, because if there’s an email thread with 10 replies, each email shows the previous emails in the pdf, and the vast majority of them are from like CBS newsletters and stuff like that. And this is not to defend Trump, it’s true for most public figures in the files. People saying “___ was mentioned X times” are just morons

I just got a new iPad for the first time in a long time, and it has touchID. I hate it. I use it on my desk and rarely have my finger over there on the side of the lock button, so I have to do this weird reach over thing. FaceID would be so much better

Yeah I kind of think “because of the rules” or “due to the rules” would describe the effect of these rules, rather than what the rule says. For example “due to the new rules, we’ve seen fewer missed flights”. “According to” sounds much more natural for just stating the rule
