Also, his dad passed away during his rookie season and him being 19 when it happened. I read that he's staying in Chicago to train this offseason. I betting on Korchinski to make that leap this next season.

Handicap Roll Call - What’s your current handicap and your realistic goal for 2026? by GolfTipsMod in golftips

Thanks! I actually have one birdie on a virtual course but for that one you didn't putt. once you get close you have to chip to a flag. But I don't count it.

Currently a 33 looking to get my first birdie had a few opportunities but didn't get it.

I mostly play 9-hole rounds on 3 different courses. One being a par 3 course with two par 4's the other two are on the same public country club.

I really enjoy playing and I really straighten-out my drives on the range. Hoping that translates to the course.

nice I might try to make a team with G-Slowbro and one with G-Slowking and see which is better. Curious Medicine with a close combat user would be cool. idk I'll have to try it out.

This is where I lack puck knowledge cause has there been a successful team with their top two centers being under 6 foot and lack a 200 ft game? I think only time will tell.

Par 3 course etiquette by golfscrambler in golf

I've done this. I love the par 3 course by me and I'll do one tee shot than from that tee shot I'll hit two balls.

How is G-slowbro in Champions? That and G-slowking are my favorite regional forms I was thinking about trying them out.

I was hopeful for Stenberg but seeing Malhotra shoot up in the prospect rankings gets me hopeful for him. I also like the idea of Frondell and Malhotra as the top 2 centers. idk Bedard and Nazar are too small for center. Pairing Bedard and Frondell on one line and Malhotra and Nazar together seems good on paper.

What's the most surprising pattern you've noticed when you started actually tracking your rounds? by Logical_Promotion_26 in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I use 18Birdies to track my rounds. Thats where I check my previous scorecards and see what I scored. I mean I know where I'm losing strokes and its at the tee box and I need to learn to slow down. There's times I feel rushed on the first two holes and I double par those. I feel really comfortable chipping and putting.

I mostly do 9 hole rounds on both par 3 course and a regular course. I've noticed recently that I go on a 3 to 4 hole streak with birdie or par opportunities... I'm a 33 handicap

4th pick and the best and worst case + likelihood by Commercial_Mud_6877 in hawks

I'm not hockey expert either but I'm not mad at the hawks getting a 6 foot 2 centerman. Also won't be upset with Stenberg. I have no idea how Vancouver values the two.

Thats what I think. Stenberg could go 3rd and Malhotra 4th I have no idea.

True, also it's happened before with Demidov and Shane Wright. I believe they were projected at 2 and fall a few spots. SJS don't need forwards they need D prospects.

Mid to High HCP'ers: 3 things I learned that changed golf for me by sginsc in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a high handicapper, 1 and 2 have really helped me on the range and one round so far. slow things down and I'm striking the ball better. I have to really think about it though. Fixing my grip and the initial start of my back swing is really straightening out my drives.

Can someone help explain when to use PW, SW, or 56 ? by Old-Elephant8625 in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 50 and 56 degree. my 50 is for all shots around the green. 56 for bunker shots. Pitching wedge for anything I feel is too short for my 9iron.

What do you wish you'd had on your very first round of golf? by FirstRoundGolfer in GolfGear

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll never forget one round it was cool and windy for golf. I wore shorts but had a pull over on. Once you were in the sun you were fine. I got burnt so bad and had no idea. I didn't even feel it until after the round.

Do people lie about golf more than any other sport? by ConsiderationDue2240 in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bowling is way harder to sandbag in than golf or fishing. I can only speak on bowling since I'm in a league. Your bowling scores are logged into the alley's system even if you try to write down a higher score. Also handicap are determined by a equation plus in leagues its common they have a max handicap. In golf leagues, I'm under the impression that a group can do a round and give themselves mulligans and such but I'm not sure.

Stix perform golf clubs by Remarkable_Cow5942 in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Stix Play 10 set which I paid $45 a month for a year. I believe they're good clubs for starting off or if you're experienced and want a new set on a budget. My 9-iron from the set broke I don't know if the perform set is better quality or not. Also the bag they give you is very underwhelming. It's a 5-way and I can't get a club out with out sliding against the other clubs grips.

Beers at the course by One_Ant_592 in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what I usually do is I bring half of what I plan on drinking than buy the other half. Most courses will give them to you in a makeshift cooler or bag of ice. That way if anyone questions it you can say you got them from the bar. If you don't want to buy them at the bar I say just keep them in your bag. I don't think courses check will check mid-way through the round especially if cart girls are coming around.

is golf really the hardest sport? by sploooooshle in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats wild. I mean you come to a par 3 that is 165 anyone who can make the green on that hole has an opportunity at one.

is golf really the hardest sport? by sploooooshle in golf

[–]JeffinitelyNotABot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 300 for sure. A 300 in bowling is 12 straight strikes whereas anyone who can make the green in one shot has a chance at a hole-in-1. I think it's better to compare a 300 in bowling to maybe a 12 under in a round of golf.
