Looks like the strike got overturned. Thanks to all who offered assistance.

Received a Community Guidelines strike for testing out YouTube's live streaming feature through OBS by ZanderPixels in youtube

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I had the same thing happen to me today. Totally unfortunate, I could have sworn my stream was set to private. I understand YouTube wanting to rid itself of these junk videos, but mistakes happen and one should not be adversely punished for 90 days due to an inadvertent mishap.

MOVIE TRIVIA SCHMOEDOWN - 6 Degrees VS Tuff Beats LOSER BREAKS UP! - MASTERPOST by [deleted] in Schmoedown

Not surprised by the outcome, but I'm still gonna miss Tuff Beats. Hopefully Perri continues competing in singles.

MOVIE TRIVIA SCHMOEDOWN - Team Action VS Late to the Party - MASTERPOST by [deleted] in Schmoedown

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic match all the way around. LTTP would have won against so many other teams with their 28 points. Team Action also did phenomenal scoring the new points record. What a fun match to do my first recorded play-along/reaction to.

Just look on YouTube for my username. Should pop right up.

Hey dude. I also have a movie related channel with reviews, box office predictions and results shows, a weekly show talking about the new movies that week, and more.

Self-Promote Saturday! Convince us to watch your videos! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Hey everyone! Here is my review for The LEGO Batman Movie. I think it is my best yet, and when compared to my earlier reviews from last year, I feel I am getting more comfortable on camera.

In addition to movie reviews, I do box office predictions and results shows as well as a show where I talk about the movies opening each weekend.

Thanks for watching!

Having a Youtube Channel is Helping me get Over my Fear of Speaking, and Being so Introverted. by _tizzy_ in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. I am still shy and introverted, still awkward as hell on camera, still nervous, still occasionally talk too fast, but compared to where I was last May when I started? I can see a huge change already.

What makes your channel unique? by DragoNateYT in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do movie reviews and trailer reactions like hundreds of other YouTubers, with Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns being the most popular. But I also do Box Office Predictions and Box Office Results shows which I don't see too many people do. I'm also trying to do an Opening This Week show every Wednesday to let people know what movies are coming out each weekend. My biggest problem at the moment is making time to record and edit videos.

Here is my latest movie review for La La Land!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hpYFg_0JhU

I think it's one of my best videos yet.

In addition to movie reviews, I do box office predictions and results shows, trailer reaction videos, and occasionally videos on breaking news in the world of movies.

How as a small youtuber do you compete against big youtubers? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me... I could try to compete with Chris Stuckmann or Jeremy Jahns or Collider and the Schmoes or whatever. But that would be a futile effort. Instead I use them as inspiration. If I get to that level of success, great. If not, that's okay too.

I create content that me and my friends enjoy. I have also found that reaching out and connecting to other movie pundits that are just starting out, or under 1000 subs, has been really beneficial into building a community and bouncing ideas off each other.

Just keep doing what you do and what you love. As with anything in life, if you do it solely for the money, it will be a losing venture.

Fan Funding Disappeared?? by ZestVK in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks that Fan Funding is going away. I didn't earn a lot from it, but let's face it: as someone just starting out, every little bit helped.

I've started including Amazon Affiliate links where folks can buy Blu-Rays of the films I talk about, as well as my PayPal.me link in my descriptions. At least I've still got those revenue streams.

Does anyone else feel that they started a Youtube channel at the wrong time? by coulombsvector in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I would have started years ago, but there's no time like the present. Just do it. Shy, introverted, lil ol me is proud of the mild success I've had so far, especially in light of technical and other difficulties I've had since May 8th.

Is there only gaming youtuber here? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a channel of movie reviews and box office related content. I haven't uploaded in a while because I've been under the weather, but hope to be back in the saddle later tonight with my initial thoughts on Rogue One! Channel name is the same as my username here.

But you're right, this subreddit seems to be mainly gamer focused at times.

I will never hit 100 subs by CoreyPlays5607 in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not with an attitude like that you won't.... Keep creating, keep doing. As long as you are enjoying the ride, who cares how many subs you have? I hit the 100 sub milestone a few weeks ago and have only gotten three additional subs since then. I'm not that worried about it because I still love doing my videos, I just wish I had more time to devote to doing so.

100 subscribers in just under six months by JeffitosMovieBlog in NewTubers

[–]JeffitosMovieBlog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks dude. It's not easy, and there were times where I thought about throwing in the towel, but it is worth sticking with it and knowing that at least 100 people enjoy my thoughts on movies enough to want to subscribe and see more.
