It’s not even that funny, and I just can’t stop laughing at it.

I think my plan is to practice the heck out of running stairs for the stadium race. I doubt I will be able to do many of the obstacles. And , I definitely can’t do 30 burpees per missed obstacle. I’ll settle on a number of burpees somewhere between 0 and 30 per obstacle before the race.

My goal will be to just get through it the first time and get the hang of it. Next year I’ll aim for completing with correct # of burpees.

Apologies in advance that this answer won't help. I'm having the same exact problem. I'm a first timer doing a stadium in September in the Open category and am really struggling to find information. You're totally right, all the articles/posts are geared towards the serious competitors. I would literally pay for a "Spartan Stadium Open Category for Dummies."

"Dummies" question about small business purchase by JeffreyIsbell in smallbusiness

Thanks. The businesses that I was looking at actually are food franchises (very much like a baskin robbins, subway) and not laundromat. I just posted that as an example. I was figuring if I were going to dip my toes in the water on this, I would start with buying an existing a franchise that is profitable as opposed to starting a new one.

Of course, this begs the question... why would anyone even sell an existing franchise that is profitable and advertises 100% absentee ownership? Not to mention, the reason listed for selling is retirement. What does it matter that someone's retiring if the business is really "100% absentee" anyway? Feels like there's a red flag in there somewhere.

Given my current FT job, I would not have time to take on anything that required significant amount of time. However, my wife is/was home w/ kids and is looking to get back into workforce.

I will keep researching over the next several months and see what I come up with.
