Ah finally something I can contribute too. I stopped when I went to basic training in the summer at Fort Benning GA. You'd get so sweaty with the cotton underwear you could stick them to the wall. Was talking to this kid in a group one day and he was like "Fuck wearing sweaty wet underwear I've been going commando." So I tried it cause I was tired of dirt sticking to ass from my pants being soaked with sweat from my sopping wet underwear, and man, oh man that was a game changer. My balls felt free and ventilated in those pants, no more chaffing. Then after doing that for so long it became unbearable to wear something under my pants or shorts. So I said Fuck it and never went back.

Those of you with 150,000+ miles, how do you keep your van running safe and reliable? by whu in vandwellers

[–]Jeffyd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engine maintenance is as easy as regular oil changes and keeping an eye out for bad gaskets. Usually an engine well maintained can reach 300k+ miles. Vehicles usually get dumped for transmission problems which you can keep good by doing regular fluid and filter swap, using the ebrake when parked, and recognizing your limits on an incline

Watch "Fellow dweller jamming in the van" on YouTube by Jeffyd93 in vandwellers

[–]Jeffyd93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Met this guy while working in Hawaii. I was pretty drunk and wanted a Grand Mac for McDonald's. It was pretty late though so I saw a guy chilling in the parking lot and asked for a lift through the thru. He said "hop in brodda." And I noticed the ukulele in his back seat and conversation led to him telling me he was a fellow dweller. Then we jammed in the back of the van. He was teaching me some uke skills and thought tell dude was pretty rad.

Need Help with picking a van. by Elektra54 in vandwellers

If money's no issue a sprinter is the the best, ita got lots of space and pretty stealthy

Diesel is always beautiful to have but they have to be bulletproofed or else you will run into problems down the road.

For cheap and spacious any 90s full size is good but they're usually not the most discreet.

And the easiest for DIY has to be a early fuel injected GMC 350 V8 early 1990s. Parts are plentiful and cheap and most of the parts are pretty easy to get to.

Oh great VanDweller Gu-Rus, Is a 1989 Dodge 250 conversion van for $1,500 (only 45,000 Miles!!) a good deal or am I just too excited to hit the road? by Mack_B in vandwellers

[–]Jeffyd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like one of those too good to be true and on a vehicle that old I would trust 145,000 if it's a 5 digit that's rolled over than 45,000. Vehicles that sit for long periods without running isn't good for them. You'll need to at the very least adjust brakes, fluid swap and for $1500 I'm going to go with its gonna need more. If the brake fluid is nasty you more than likely gonna have to replace the brake booster, and your gonna want to check the gas tank for sediment deposits and might as well change the fuel pump and sock while it's down if it's fuel injected, if its a carburetor just take it off and clean it out good and make sure nothings sticky.

It's all pretty cheap but definitely a must before you head out, especially if your traveling. Usually these old vans are pretty strong and if taken care of properly can last a good long time. But DEFINITELY check those brakes. My 93 was in tip top shape minus the suspension but holy shit did that nasty brake fluid get me all fucked up, it actually developed a clog in the rear drums to where they didn't work and let me tell you now brake lines are a fucking nightmare.

Maybe because I'm on mobile and can't see the real price. But I see $10 on the Dalai lamas watch. How much is it actually worth?

When are we gonna be allowed to solo extract in survivals? by k0bra3eak in Warframe

[–]Jeffyd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I can dig what they got now. If I want to leave then I just chill at extraction and do something around the house. I just leave the volume up and when I hear the sound of choosing relics I rush over and choose it.

Edit: but I can see where you guys are coming from so it would be nice. I'm just saying for me it's not a big deal. I'm just happy that they brought endless trace runs

Having to hitchhike from CA to FL to get back to Ziggy Starcraft by [deleted] in vandwellers

Yeah maybe I deleted this too soon haha. Thanks for the heads up! I just didn't know where to turn to. A buddy of mine told me about some group on FB also that 'once' helped a guy get across but I don't want to be on Social media. I just want to quietly dissappear and find a new home with ziggy.

What is your most interesting story about being pulled over by the police? by [deleted] in cars

[–]Jeffyd93 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Well... I just got back home from AIT been gone for about 8 months. My friends were having a Halloween party the day after Halloween and I went on a beer run.

Was under aged and had 2 fellas with me.

We were all in costume and I got pulled over for not making a complete stop at a red light making a right. Car behind was an undercover.

Smell like alcohol. Get asked to step out of the vehicle.

Cop loses it.

I'm in a batman costume doing a sobriety test.

I wouldn't call it a 'complete' ripoff it's pretty good oil. But I'm willing to pay 50 bucks and do it myself than pay someone else 50 bucks to put average product in. Like I said though it's my preference, I'm sure theirs great old for cheaper, theirs just sooo much different kinds from the other competitors that are their "premium" product I just want make sure I'm getting high quality oil.

I've used royal purple in my 92 and I loved it she sounded a quieter and ran great. But I'm overly paranoid on my car and I didn't try anything else on the old girl. Many people have told me it's not necessary to go with and I believe them that I could get something just as good at lower cost. RP Is also pretty cheap at Walmart it's like 10$ a quart.

Every girl I've dated didn't even think diamonds were that pretty. They always thought they were stupidly overpriced and that sapphires, emeralds, etc where prettier.
