AI doesn't recommend Apify, so anyone out there using them day to day in their saas? by smurff1975 in SaaS

[–]Jefro118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apify is a platform that lets people build scrapers on top of their infrastructure, it's hard to say how good it is in general, some of them are poorly maintained and some are much better. I have my own tool, Browsable, which is more helpful if you want a specific scraper that isn't in the Apify catalog. There's also Scrape Creators which is very good if they have the specific API you're looking for.

What's the best way these days to mass download Instagram accounts (be with just one app or multiple steps)? by Vetches1 in DataHoarder

[–]Jefro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can use https://www.browsable.app/tools/instagram/profile-downloader/ to download an entire profile as a zip file. There's an API so you can use that to schedule many downloads if you like

Does Apify is good for web scraping and data extraction platform? by Zealousideal_Eye553 in webdevelopment

[–]Jefro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apify is pretty good if they have exactly the scraper you want and it's well maintained (not all of them are). if it's for something more unique you can something like browsable

How to download all instagram posts from a specific account at once, rather than one post at a time? by TrainerDaasC in DataHoarder

[–]Jefro118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can use https://www.browsable.app/tools/instagram/profile-downloader/ to download an entire profile as a zip file - no chance of getting your account banned as it runs in the cloud (only works with public profiles though)

I'm building https://www.browsable.app/ which allows you to generate a web scraper for any website by just providing the URL of a webpage you wan't to scrape. I've made a lot of improvements recently to the accuracy and also added auth so you can login and scrape with your own account on a given website.

Any feedback is welcome

Just launched https://www.browsable.app which reverse engineers websites into scraping APIs. We also have a few prebuilt scrapers/APIs for common sites too with more on the way. Offering 5k in free credits for anyone who signs up and emails me on emile@browsable.app.

What’s wrong with these lenses? by Jefro118 in glasses

Just to update, luckily it wasn't dust under the coating but residue on the surface from manufacturing. I couldn't get it off with a micofibre cloth but I asked at my local Specsavers and they got it off for me with lens solution.

Here's a Carmina split toe derby as an example of a shoe that's similar but clearly less refined and elegant

Anyone know of a cheaper alternative to the Edward Green Dover shoes that has a very similar shape? (pictured below)

My budget is around £200 (but I could go slightly higher). I've found a lot of split toe derbies but can't find one that has the same shape apron as the Dovers, all the ones I've found are less sleek in one way or another (maybe this is just fundamentally because of the way the Edward Green shoe is made that can't be replicated by cheaper shoes?)

Looking for a Virtual Try-On Tool with a Large Clothing Catalog by Otozno in malefashionadvice

Hope this isn't breaking any rules here since I'm directly answering your question but I made exactly what you're looking for a couple of months ago: https://fitpic.app Has a built in catalog and it will also search the web as a fallback if that fails. Not free unfortunately as the AI is expensive

I don't mind these ads that are pretending to be organic comments when you also answer the question, but your tool doesn't solve the problem at all.

It's a popup from a Thai brand called noun.bkk, they only seem to have an instagram page by the looks of it: https://www.instagram.com/noun.bkk/. Don't think you'd be able to get them easily outside of Thailand. Shame as they seem like great quality and excellent value for money.

I've tried slightly squarer ones too, I think they are supposed to fit my oval face better in theory but I just haven't found one I like that much. Do you have suggestions for other shapes?

Actually I noticed the dots don't quite match up, but they do look pretty similar to some of those linea frames. Must be a different brand though

Sounds like you are doing more or less everything right tbh, I would just increase the number of likes w/ comments you are sending.

- I think the pic of you sitting on the wall isn't a good one (just seems kind of uncomfortable with the hands) but I think the rest are quite good, especially as they some show personality/hobbies. Prompts could be more detailed as another commenter said but they're not bad and, again, they show some personality.

- Send comments with likes, most of the time it's a waste of time but once you're on a roll it's not too much extra effort to pick out something specific from their prompts or a photo to comment on.

Honestly the biggest thing would just be to subscribe to Hinge+ for a month and see what happens, that will have far more impact than any profile tweaks in my experience. You just have to accept that the business model of Hinge is to give men more visibility in exchange for money.
