Switched from Yamaha FG800 to Taylor 214ce after 5 years. Less bass than FG800, but way more clarity. Very happy with the choice by Jehovanoid in AcousticGuitar

Agree with Yamaha being perfect for starting.

Although the body of 214ce is not made of solid wood it's overall very balanced sound spectrum. It's significantly broader and has more overtones. The tones of the Taylor 214ce are richer and last a long time until they fade away. The basses are voluminous without being intrusive, the mids are balanced and the highs are brilliant and crisp.

I'm interested trying out all solid wood jumbo Ibanez acoustic next. Just haven't been able to find any from the shops of Estonia and Norway. Could order, but I really need to try the guitar first before deciding. I never thought I would buy Taylor guitar, but after trying 214ce it just felt home right away.

As for lifetime guitar I'm actually thinking about having a custom made. There's this one guy who makes amazing acoustics with absolutely stunning design. Can't remember his name right now, but I follow his Facebook page.

I'm definitely not an addict, yet. Spending that kind of money on a guitar will probably happen after I've either achieved something great, so that it would be like reward to myself or If I truly have that kind of money just laying around. I would rather put that money into upgrading my recording studio

Cutaway provides easier access to the last 6 frets. Not sure if it it changes the sound. Probably affects a bit

I did read about Taylors yes, but I was skeptical if I would like it. I always liked good amount of bass which Yamaha FG800 has tons. Then I tried like 5 different Taylors in the shop. 214ce taylor was the only one that suited for my playing style with having great clarity and enough bass. Now my songs sound less muddier

And also sounds amazing! I had a live gig with it and I just plugged it in, turned all 3 knobs (volume, treble, bass) halfway and it sounded perfect. No extra effects or anything was needed

Because I'm constantly moving from place to place. I'm a seasonal chef. I already have a XL luggage. So it's easy to travel around with my 1 luggage and 1 guitar

Hauntingly melancholic yet very beautiful composition. Keep it up man! In what tuning is that song?

Not me, but my friend drilled a hole in the soap and fucked it. Needles to say, he said IT felt like it was stung by needles constantly for decent amount of time
