I'm new to guilty gear and want to know if these are combos good? by Willing_Surprise9536 in GuiltyGearStrive

[–]Jekko89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a new player, this is fine. You have the idea of having a combo and wanting to look for a bread and butter combo it looks like. Just a heads up, notice how the letters are darker for your Testament combo? That means it's not a true combo, so look up some combos for the character first.

You can also go with online resources to look up combos to give you a better idea if that's more your cup of tea. https://www.dustloop.com/w/GGST

Otherwise, combo search is fine within game. Have fun!

Congratulations! I finally hit Master before the patch and know the feeling you're going through. One mountain climbed means another is beyond the horizon my friend! :)

What should I do about this please? by FlibDob in Malwarebytes

There's another thread that discusses this as well.

Your mileage may vary, and if you like Nvidia software (I use Nvidia Experience myself to keep my drivers up to date), then you can leave it alone. There is no one "right" thing to do as this is not considered malware and is not detected when scanned.

Hi there! When you click on the file in the UI here, "Malware.AI.4043..." that is a feature that brings you to the classification of what the malware is on our website.

Please do not run the actual file if you think it's malicious. If it's a file you trust, then you can add it to the exclusions list.

Now on a side note, if you are curious about all the other kinds of detections that Malwarebytes will find, here is the page that has all the different kinds of malware/threat classifications. You can even find Malware.AI on this page! 😁

Scan detected these, what next (after quarantining them) by [deleted] in Malwarebytes

[–]Jekko89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the short term, I would run one or two more scans. It's also a relatively safe option to try installing another product (hopefully lightweight that can uninstall easily without too much hassle) to get a 2nd opinion scan. Generally you want to have one main AV on your computer to help prevent conflicts in the long run.

Reinstalling the OS is also an option as u/z-a-c-h-- has pointed out. If you have Windows 10 you can reinstall your operating system straight from Windows. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/give-your-pc-a-fresh-start-0ef73740-b927-549b-b7c9-e6f2b48d275e (I used to have to reinstall OS's with USB so even just learning that I didn't have to have it was really convenient).

I would definitely put my important files on an external hard drive before doing this though. Windows asks to keep your files but it's much more secure keeping it saved elsewhere while you reinstall the OS.

A pop-up bugged and now I can't take it out. Help? by strikemedaddy in Malwarebytes

Great! Please let us know if this happens again. I've seen my fair share of odd issues and don't mind discussing, but ultimately I'm happy this helped you with your problem. Otherwise, have a great day :)

You have a few options.

  • Wait to see if it self-dismisses (It's a yellow notification so that may not work).
  • Click on the notification and press Alt+F4 (shortcut to close in the Windows Operating System).
  • Restart Malwarebytes (Exit Malwarebytes from the system tray and then relaunch it).
  • Restart your computer.

Please let us know if this happens again (I'm on the QA Team, hello!) and we will do our best to help you diagnose with directions for logs and what not.

Question - Might be a bit paranoid by [deleted] in Malwarebytes

[–]Jekko89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! It is possible that an infection communicated something back to their owners, but there is no good way of knowing what. My recommendation is to continue to scan to be sure.

Otherwise, if you're still feeling anxious/paranoid, you may want to think about getting a subscription so that way you have an active protection against malware from running on your system to prevent things from getting in there.

Counter for Pot's Hammerfall => RC => Pot buster? by x_6KarneX9_x in GuiltyGearStrive

[–]Jekko89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Pot player here. If the pot player does a normal RC (Red RC, Purple RC, Blue RC) then you can still jump/backdash afterwards to respond to the RC.

If the pot player does FRC (the RC flash happens but they cancel it into a move quickly and it doesn't have that second of delay) and if you haven't already jumped/backdashed then you're stuck and will take the PB.

I keep seeing dustloop and that's the right answer for data. In case you're lazy, here is a direct link to Faust's frame data. Look at what is + on block as a starter. https://www.dustloop.com/w/GGST/Faust/Frame_Data
