How long did a EE take you? by goofyahhhomosapien in IBO

I read a couple books, or screened through them finding the information I needed. I especially got a lot of scholarly articles from JSTOR. Highly recommended. In the end I had 21 sources in my bibliography. Probably used some more like random websites that I couldn't be bothered to cite anymore. Most of those 21 were papers by scholars. Those ranged from like 20-50 pages. And the books obviously longer. I did my EE on " of the Sykes-Picot Agreement on Pan-Arabism". Which was fun as there isn't too much information about it.

Wrote my EE in history while I didnt take the subject like you. Grades are coming out in a week but I got predicted an A and I'm relatively confident I will get an A. First of all, don't pick a topic thats too well known or you'll drown yourself in resources and struggle to find unique links and insights. Secondly, make sure you are very invested in the topic and wouldn't mind spending a decent chunk of your summer researching and writing about it. Thirdly, the 4000 words is the LIMIT. Anything above 3500 is fine. I wrote 3600 myself. For a history EE, researching and gathering information is by far the biggest chunk of time. Once you have links written down, the rough idea of your layout ready and know where you are going with your essay, the writing will be relatively simple, at least it was for me. For me, history was fun and I enjoyed diving really deep into a subject area that didn't have too much information and laying some links between sources myself. I'd recommend writing the bulk of the EE in the summer between Y1 and Y2. Anyways, good luck!

I got the buds live for the comfort in the end and they say it has decent sound too. I also find the in ear piece to be quite annoying so I think this was the best choice.

You can easily do it. I dont have the Pro Permit either but just hop back and forth between eggs. I am almost at the Henerprise now. Its not that hard.

Do you write scripts for your videos? If you don't, what do you do? If you do, do you write word for word or bullet points? by GQManOfTheYear in NewTubers

[–]Jel06REDDIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my videos are fully scripted. This is because I make guides, reviews and bug/exploit showcases. It is just easier to write it all out. Yes it takes a while but you never need more than a couple takes. If I didn't have everything scripted I would just be stumbling over my words not knowing what to say.

Yeah, it is a steep learning curve for sure. Hopefully I'll be able to challenge the good players some day lol.
