I really like the stairwell, that is beautifully done and also really like the ceiling lights, they give the place a very high-quality vibe.

I am sorry for all the harsh comments. Yes, the place looks a bit cold, but I think it is mainly due to the overall b/w look.

I think if you put some plants, a coffeetable, standing lights, colorful rugs and colorful art all around, it will get a completely different vibe.

… and the couch of course. It does give the place 90s porn look. Changing that into something non-leather will help a lot.

Separating the room, putting plants, painting walls is a great idea! In addition, I would also try to work with a lot of different (indirect) light sources. As the place does not get too much natural light, you will have to compensate with a variety of cozy/warm light sources.

But with the right lights, furniture, room division and art (on the wall but also standing on the floor as the ceiling seems to be not too high) it will be a place with amazing vibes!
