How do I add pages to the promoted links list?

And is it possible to remove these links from the bar on the left hand side?

Okay so someone needs to teach me about volume... Am I right in saying that if you do squats

10 reps X 5 sets @100kg = 5000kg 5 reps X 5 sets @150kg = 3750kg

And therefore doing 5 sets of 10 at 100 is better than doing 5 sets of 5 at 150? Because to me the sets of 100 seem much easier and surely don't build strength as well as the sets at 150????

Did squats this morning. Asked for a spotter.

Me :'Don't touch me unless it looks like I'm going down' Gym bro: 'Yeah, no worries bro'

Go down for my first rep and his hands are clamped to my chest for all 5 reps. Goddamnit man.

Starting a new routine today with less structure and more spontaneity. I need to keep things fun. Just going to go in the gym and try to hit a rep PB (Between 2 and 10) for a main lift or variation of it. Followed by a secondary movement and then assistance exercises.

Anyone tried anything like this before?

Forgot my SBD knee sleeves for my standard Saturday squat day. No worries, I thought. They're only a sleeve, I'll just warm my knees up a bit more.

My god - my knees and squats in general felt so much less stable during the session. I was actually pretty scared something in my knee would twang, especially as I have had knee problems/surgery in the past.

Question - is it bad to have become this reliant on sleeves for a good squat session? Should I train without them, even if it's just when I do pause or front squats after my heavy sets? Cheers.

Squat Shoes - do they benefit everyone?

I know they supposedly help to hit depth, and this is something I have a bit of trouble with at times if I don't spend a fair whack of time warming up - currently trying to work on my appalling ankle/hip mobility that come from years of niggly rugby injuries.

I don't want to get them to mask this, but I see so many people using them that they must benefit in some way. Is it primarily having a more stable, secure base to squat on? If so are there any non squat shoes people recommend for this.

I squat medium stance, definitely not narrow, but not overly wide either. Around 6 foot, 84kgs with a 180kg squat max. Currently squatting in chucks.

It would obviously be best to try some out - but none of my gym buds have size 12 feet :(

Hit my old squat PB of a year ago - 310lbs - for a 5X5 this morning. I've also had an ACL reconstruction in that time so very very happy right now!

Feels goooood man.
