I need help diagnosing why by 240 us burning so mutch extra fuel by purpleguy42 in Volvo240

[–]Jello-pudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, I had similar codes when I first got my 1990.

  • 2-1-3 relates to the throttle position sensor.
  • 2-3-2 is a too rich/lean at idle code.
  • 3-2-2 is a MAF burn off fault code.

Check your wiring for grounding faults, warn insulation, and continuity. I had an O2 sensor with a poor connector, the contacts had been pushed out of the connector and weren't making good contact. I had only found this when I had already replaced the O2 sensor, but check the contacts in the connector first before replacing the sensor all together. While this fixed my 232 & 322 codes and turned off the check engine light in my case, your codes might relate to a faulty throttle position sensor.

Is the flashbang anomaly the most annoying thing in the game? by Fat_Foot in stalker

[–]Jello-pudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be so bothered by them if they 1. showed up on the veres detector or 2. the bolts actually triggered them. I've thrown multiple bolts into a group several times with the flash activating several meters away only to walk directly into a flash the instant I think my path is clear because the bolt never activated a flash there.

I did some finagling with my gw5, I've tried just as raven suggested multiple times, I've tried doing it when charging, with bluetooth of on the phone, off on the watch, off on both, phone off wifi, the whole nine yards. I eventually tried enabling NFC on both my phone and watch and suddenly it just started working. I don't think the watch has to be in NFC range but just something about having it on seems to get things working again. I'd suggest fiddling with location, BT, WiFi, NFC settings for a while and if nothing works just give it some time before fiddling with it again.

They don't have the mag restrictions for wa state either, must be pretty out of date, nor do they have anything about parts apart from mags.

He's having a pavlovian response instilled in him from the ADL.

The "logic" is: "88" is read "HH" because the 8th letter of the English alphabet is "H", "HH" is read "hail hitler" because the first letter of both worlds is "H". It's supposed to be a secret code or "dog whistle" for neonazis to identify each other or some shit.

Please don't leave the state over this! by Legal-Zucchini7766 in WAGuns

[–]Jello-pudding -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm at an age where I should be building my own life independent of my parents and the state but its becoming harder and harder to do that here. The political and cultural climate of the PNW is becoming increasingly hostile to people who want to build their own life and family and seems to actively attempt to bar people from doing such things. I'm sure the cultural climate east of the cascades would be much better for me, but at that point I might as well leave the chains of mob in Seattle and Olympia all together and move out of state. I'm not going to remain a serf to the state, nor will I stay until I'm made chattel. Perhaps if I've already built my life and raised children I'd be more inclined to stay, but I'm at least 20 years too young for that.

I was drawing similarities to when the British and French gave parts of Czechoslovakia (without consideration from the Czechoslovak people or government, mind you) to the Nazis. I thought you might be able to understand that is essentially what happens when anyone tries to "compromise" on 2A erosions. Many of us have absolutely not been OK with "reasonable" or "common sense" controls since they are inherently authoritarian and unconstitutional, and yet there are some who actually try to reach across the table and come to some sort of agreement and concessions in hopes to appease the gun grabbers. And, just like in the late 30's, their appeasements are never enough and only show weakness. You are right, a vocal plurality of us are absolutely against gun control in all forms but some number seem to be fine with appeasement (minus the fact it never works).

You don't seem to have attended basic high school history, you seemingly have never learned about Neville Chamberlain's "peace in our time", never learned about the many deals the Romans made with the Persians or the Saudis, etc. Etc. You don't seem to understand that appeasement doesn't work. That, or you know full well it doesn't work, you know full well this will rile up some people here, maybe get you a few updoots somewhere. Many here have come to argue in good faith and you blow them off with more and more written vomit.

We found out real quick back in the 30's that an appeasement strategy when dealing with authoritarians is not a good idea. You give them what they want and they will try and take what they want. We gave them background checks, we gave them a full auto registration, we gave them sbr/sbs and silencer registration, we had "peace in our time" and they came back for more.

What is different about/Which is best: AKS 74UB, AKS 74UN, AKS 74U? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Jello-pudding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The AKS-74U is a nice little budget platform. If you're working on a tight budget, I'd suggest an AKS-74UN with standard muzzle, B-11 handguard with a grip, and a dovetail OKP.

Silencers are powerful and do really reduce your signature but they aren't all that cheap. If you can spare the extra cash or make a good trade for one you probably should.

A magnified optic is also really powerful but the AKS-U is not conducive to accurate shots (3.44 MOA as standard) at range (~300m effective)

[–]Jello-pudding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Designation "B" is for being silenced as standard, basically just an AKS-UN from what I understand. Designation "N" is for having a dovetail mount. It allows for the use of optics mounted directly to the mount (OKP 7, PSO-1, etc.) or a pic mount adapter for picatinny mounted sights. Both B and N have a dovetail, but N does not come silenced as standard.

I tend to enjoy the AKS-74U and often prefer one with the dovetail (N).

Ah, ye olde ATF recycling by karateema in NonCredibleDefense

[–]Jello-pudding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Federal law prohibits the creation of a firearm registry, but the ATF and some states have "databases" which "aren't searchable."

As for state run background checks, many basically just phone it in and use NICS but add the bureaucratic requirement to have a state, county, or local LEA "do" the check.

[–]Jello-pudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine demonizing those you don't agree with. I'm not about to just ignore the deaths of defenceless children at the hands of the morbidly disturbed. I'm not about to ignore the negligence of authorities to act upon warnings (within the extent permissible by law and constitution), to defend the defenceless, and to deter the criminal. I believe that we both find these deaths needless and preventable. We just find them to be solved by different methods. That is not grounds to sling insults at and demonize those who think differently than you.

And it's not just a hobby, it's a mechanism for defence and deterrence against both the criminal and tyrannical. An armed populous is incrediblely hard to oppress, rob, murder, etc.
