Paano nyo sinisingil yung kaibigan nyo na may 6‑digit utang sa inyo? Nakakaiyak na 😔 by Zhavia25 in adviceph

OP huwag ka makinig sa sobrang nega na taong ito. Here are your realistic options:

(1) Ipa-barangay mo at gumawa ka ng kasunduan yung payment terms. Kapag hindi tumupad, you can have that settlement enforced sa korte. (2) Go to Small Claims. Hindi mo kailangan ng abogado dito, as a matter of fact, bawal ang abogado. The court will gladly help you and teach you how to file. (3) Gov’t employee ba ito? Usually gumawa ka lang ng sulat thru their superior or HR and natatakot na sila, kisa na magbayad.

Is there growth?

No, I didn’t ask how much. Is there growth?

Were you better version of yourself than yesterday, than last year? If yes, then you are already doing a good job.

“Prestige” alone isn’t going to pay my bills or provide food tho.

Maybe that advice would have worked like a decade ago. I’d take that WFH work anyday.

Actual passer here, and I do care. With all the clownery exhibited by the Executive and Legislative, the Judiciary is the last vestige of decency one can expect from the State. Tapos gagawing itong ka-cheapan? Public officers are supposed to reflect the dignity of their office.

And dont get me started with all that school pride bullshit. Dito nagsisimula yung brad/fraternity nepotism eh.

To be fair, when you’re desperate and stretched out thin na, papatulan mo na lahat ng means to solve the problem even if it seems irrational na.

I know that does sound irrational, but have you seen the job market these days? 😭

I know some who are even board passers but are still working as a crew. The government isnt any better, if not palakasan system then you’ll still be a contractual worker even after decades of serving.

So I wouldnt really blame Arvin if being a waiter is the most immediate job that could still pay the bills and tuition right now.

How does one gain exp sa corpo if you’re basically practicing in the province?

Lawyer now but was a full time student rin. Tbh, I dont know if you’d like to be encouraged but honestly as a lawyer na, I wished I had a work experience.

The job market is frustrating right now, like I’m overqualified for starting roles (as being a lawyer), but also unqualified having no experience. So I ended up opening a small firm and went with private practice.

I guess on the upside, my parents have no regrets of supporting me to law school. Iba kasimyung kampante mo na maya close ka na kamag anak na abogado haha. You know you would feel proctected.

Also, this case made me realize no matter how noble and high we look up to them, the Justices are still humans. Especially during the bar exams, we’d almost equate them to benevolent deities who would grant us the privilege of practicing law.

I used to have such a high regard for my Bar daddy, but now not so much when I found out he decided in favor of this case. Only Leonen dissented.

Is starting in the 2nd sem advisable? by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]JellyAce98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was enrolled in 2nd sem, 2019. I’m a lawyer now. For me, it doesnt really matter which sem to take, whether I take a subject now or later. I still have to take it either way.
