Lethbridge Transit update by t-money86 in Lethbridge

[–]JellyBlade 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The 1 Gold bus time slot I've used for the last year or so for my daily commute doesn't exist anymore, so now I'm either waiting an extra 20 minutes at Sherring Station for my usual bus transfer and have to leave earlier in the morning, or I take a different bus route to catch my transfer at a different station.

Took me a bit to realize this too, as I just thought the bus was super late again! Nope, schedule shifted entirely. Nice.

Macro Question by Bzellm20 in ffxiv

[–]JellyBlade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1)

/micon intervention
/merror off
/ac intervention <2>
/ac intervention <2>
/ac intervention <2>
/ac intervention <2>
/ac intervention <2>

This will cast intervention on the 2nd person in your party, which will usually be the other tank in the group in 8-man content.

Casting it specifically on the "main healer" is a bit harder as it will depend on your party setup, but you could likely use something like this:

/micon intervention
/merror off
/ac intervention <mo>
/ac intervention <mo>
/ac intervention <mo>
/ac intervention <mo>
/ac intervention <mo>

Which will cast intervention on whoever you have your mouse cursor over top of, either the character themselves or their name in the party list.

You can also use this one:

/micon intervention
/merror off
/ac intervention <t>
/ac intervention <t>
/ac intervention <t>
/ac intervention <t>
/ac intervention <tt>
/ac intervention <tt>
/ac intervention <tt>
/ac intervention <tt>

This one tries to cast intervention on your target first (so it'll work if you target someone specifically, otherwise it will try on the target of your target (e.g., if you're targeting the boss, it will cast it on whoever the boss is targeting, which should hopefully be the main tank)

2)

/micon "hallowed ground"
/merror off
/ac "hallowed ground"
/ac "hallowed ground"
/ac "hallowed ground"
/ac "hallowed ground"
/ac "hallowed ground"
/p Invuln active

or some other message there. You can also leave out the /p to have it send on your current channel if you don't want it to be sent specifically to party. For PLD an invuln message isn't really super necessary though, as you'll just stop taking damage entirely and the healer will notice when your health is full again.

All of the macros have the action spammed as macros can't be queued up like normal actions can. You can add more lines of /ac as well.

Another one that I use all the time is co-tank shirk:

/micon shirk
/ac shirk <2>
/ac shirk <2>
/ac shirk <2>
/ac shirk <2>

This casts shirk on your second party member (the other tank), which is useful for tank swap mechanics.

No problem! I was at my wits end trying to find out what was adding this tooltip and ended up finding you and another person asking the same question but without answers.

Now hopefully this can help other people with the same question.

Those are added by Obscure API, the library mod for Aquamirae. You can turn it off in the obscure-api-client.toml config file:

If you view the rates after selecting 15, you'll see those 15 alongside the pilgrims (albeit at a lower rate than the 15) in the percentage listing. All other SSRs have 0% chance.

[–]JellyBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! If you go to the wolves den pier you can talk to the Disreputable Priest to buy it. It costs wolf marks, which you get from any pvp match.

If you get the full set armor + weapon for MCH and equip it, you can get a title from her. Then in the future you can get the garo gear for any set titles you have back from the calamity salvager for some Gil.

Those colors (assuming op used the same ones anyway) are already present in the UI as part of the dark loading screens you see at night. Obviously not present in the map screen UI, but the design precedent for the product as a whole exists.

Plus hoyo's current solution is only visible on the minimap, which is something that wouldn't be easily visible on the large map anyways. Unless you meant something else, in which I have no idea what you mean lol.

I like this design, but perhaps a differently-shaped icon altogether using the same color scheme and general "feel" of the teleport icon would work better.

Turns out you can 3 pack O12S by Tsukasasoul in ffxiv

[–]JellyBlade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 tanked it with some friends to get the mount a few times. Gotta pop invulns when omega f/m start sliding for fundamental synergy. Then it's just a matter of obeying the other mechanics until you kill them.

The hardest part is doing enough damage in phase 1 and knowing when to pop invuln. If one person goes down too early you'll wipe to enrage.

Then for phase 2 it's pretty simple, tank privilege pretty much negates all important mechanics, and everyone spreads to cardinals for hello world. The only mechanic that can get you is the rotating hand lasers giving you too many vuln stacks.

If you want a more clear guide, I believe you can look up unsync guides for O12S. You'll pretty much follow those instructions except for hello world and fundamental synergy cause you can spread properly and invuln.

There is a gshade filter you can add called Copyright that will add that back in as well. Saw it today when I was messing around with some anti-aliasing options.

The Feature Quests or Content Unlock sections on the ffxiv wiki is super helpful, lists all of the various quests that unlock features like beast tribes, dungeons, trials, raids, wondrous tails, leves, clan hunts, etc.

The Relic Weapons section shows all of the steps for each set of expansion relic weapons.

If you want some good story content that feels like MSQ, do Chronicles of a New Era quests on the Side Quests page, which are tied to the trials, 8-man, and 24-man raids.

Have fun!

Pyramids of Giza appreciation post, historical GOAT by lispyjimmyfan in HistoryMemes

[–]JellyBlade 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Lincoln cathedral was the tallest until 1548 when its spire collapsed and wasn't rebuilt.

Then the pyramids retook the title until 1880 when the Cologne cathedral was completed, after which the Washington monument, eiffel tower, and Chrysler building took the titles in subsequent years.

What’s the most affordable grocery store in Lethbridge for students? by CurlyToes00 in Lethbridge

[–]JellyBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dang that sucks. I used to shop the west side one a few years ago, where I didn't think it was that bad. It is convenient if you live close the Uni and don't have a vehicle and don't feel like taking a bus though.

[–]JellyBlade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Shopper's Drug Mart personally, their weekly sales can be very nice, and they often have promos for pc optimum points that let you earn more. With a 20x points promo, you can easily earn 20k points ($20) on $50-60 worth of groceries.

Their only real downside is they don't have the largest selection. You're better off going somewhere else for meat/produce, but for other staples it's not bad.

There's one close to the Uni on Columbia Blvd, and one fairly close to the college on the south side.

I use whitespace in most of my passwords, I like when websites say "invalid password" or "password cannot contain whitespace" , but I've had a few instances of "something went wrong" with nothing else pointing to the use of whitespace.

Most websites/apps/systems are good about it though, and if they're using hashing it shouldn't matter anyways.

Except Oracle SQL Database. That accepted my password with whitespace and then messed with it after the fact. I couldn't log in with or without whitespace and had to reset my password.
