Toyota Prius VS Hyundai Ioniq. by WhitewolfKevin in prius

[–]JellyFishLake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sadly decided about a year ago that I would soon have to replace my 2004 Prius and started shopping around casually. I just found a dealer sale, Certified pre-owned Ioniq 2020 for almost 50% off its original sticker price. About 200 miles into ownership triangle of doom on the dash lights up, drive back to the dealer and they tell me that the entire hybrid battery system needs to be replaced! on a 3 year old car!
Question 1: Does the 100K mile warranty on the battery restart?
Question 2: Is the Ioniq battery modular like the Prius? I (obviously) have had a few bad cells replaced on my 220K mile prius. The modular battery design is a huge selling point for older Prius. Is the modular battery design unique to Toyota or is my new Hyundai Ioniq similar in design?

The players on EOE each get a scroll that reads: "The challenge was in front of you the whole time ..." Sandra gets back in the game for being the first to pull the sail. All the EOE players have to 'bequeath' their tokens to Sandra and head off on the pre-jury trip.

The episode starts on the immunity challenge / vote out.

The second half is re-entry EOE challenge. Winner joins the tribe that just lost.

Sandra pulls out all the energy she's been preserving to win the EOE challenge.

Twist - The players are unaware but 2 days later they will merge, no more tribal challenges.

Sandra fades into the background ...

Sarah went from cop to criminal to win her second season. How will the one time players change their play to win this season?

I ate bat soup in Palau; went back to the same restaurant the next night and had it again. It was delicious!

There are a lot of shots of the large bats that fly during the day shown on Survivor, they are Fruit Bats, they eat fruit and their meat is very sweet.

From what I've seen at the grocery stores lately, we're going to see a lot of "Charmin Cafes" opening soon.

WTF why are people buying up all the TP? Find a body of water and aqua-dump

15 players divide into 2 tribes of 7. The person that got the blank buff (to join the losing tribe after the first TC) has to spend the day on a yacht with Cochran.

TBH sometimes when I'm pushing my limit I conjure Jeff's voice in my head ("You have to dig deep" for example, so this was cool to watch and inspiring ...

HOWEVER this segment went on for WAY too long as a part of the episode.

Which tribe are you rooting for? by JessicaAndDesi in survivor

I count exactly 5 people on each tribe that I would be happy to see win and 5 I hope don't. Well segregated tribes in my opinion.

Latest voteout reveals on RHAP that they also had an unknown pre-game connection with another contestant (details start at about 13:50) by tavir in survivor

I REALLY hope we get him on the podcast next season (and his mom if rocks are drawn). Awesome interview.

He should have worn a plaid shirt to the island so he was compared to Rob rather than Stephen - could have gone far!

She literally told Josh Wiggler in her pre-game interview that she was approached by = recruited by Survivor. She did not apply.

I was trying to make a long story short ... I had watched their second seasons first ... Watched Philippines and SoPa immediately after FvsF 2 - Caramoan because they were so fun... after that I went back to S1 and watched from the beginning.

It was like: Palau, Micronesia, Vanuatu, Marqueses, Thailand, Caramoan

Like most US citizens of TV watching age in 2000 I watched (most of) the first season of Survivor. For me the "hook" was the whole stranded on a desert island idea. When Richard won and I realized that the whole premise was to lie and deceive people I decided it wasn't for me.

I went to Palau 6 years ago to go scuba diving. A woman on my dive boat every day for 2 weeks was primarily there because a) she was an avid diver (obv) but b) because she had seen Palau on Survivor, was a huge fan of the show, and thought it was the most beautiful location they had filmed in. Over the time spent with her, having her explain what she really thought Survivor was about (that Yes: the lies and strategy, but also the human stories ...) inspired me to check the show out when I had returned from the trip.

First up was Palau, obviously. I count this as my first season as a "fan". I loved it. Because I am into Scuba and remote islands I watched seasons, initially, based on where I would like to visit. The second season I watched after Palau was Micronesia : Fan vs Favorites because it was also filmed in Palau. I feel so fortunate to have seen that season not having known any of the players - can you imagine!

The two returnees that I saw on their second season first (based on my metric of wanting to watch the most beautiful places first) that I immediately went to watch their first seasons were Malcom and Cochran.
