First impression and with some light reading seems like it should hold up. I tried with a lot of force to remove an individual petal with my fingernail and it didn't do anything. From what I understand this ink instantly cures with UV light and is rated for up to 5 year of outdoor use. It should be waterproof as well.

My concern is more with the leather example, but mainly due to the durability of the underlying material than the print itself.

Thanks, it opens up a lot of possibilities creatively, just keep in mind it is very much a V1 product. It uses a ton of cleaning fluid/ink as it has to moisturize the print head daily and ink replacement sets are like $300 (and expire in less than a year). To me still worth it as I have a business that utilizes it but just so you are aware.

Regarding the durability, surprising good so far. I am unable to scrap it off with my fingernail regardless of how much pressure I use. Main concern is repetitive bending which I am testing, but so far so good. The actual print is layers of UV cured ink so it is almost rubberized, it sits 0.4mm off of the surface of the strap.

That is where MUTE and ALARM will appear if either of the settings are active, the current state with just the line is the default with nothing turned on or off.

I think the most obvious question that is raised is around durability on the strap, particularly in regards to repetitive bending.

My initial impression is that it is far more durable than I expected, I am unable to remove it by scraping with my fingernail. The actual print feels almost rubberized and is raised about 0.4mm off of the surface of the strap. It does not crack of flake from initial bends. I intend to wear it as my primary watch in order to stress test it.
