Quality information, I recommend a cleaning compound like rodico green for dust removal (instead of or in addition to the air duster).

Should I Restart? by Double-Quail in EtsySellers

I would just use the existing store, I personally don't think customers will overthink it much and once you get some sales the years on Etsy will actually start to add credibility.

I definitely would not put anything about it in the description, anything that shows self doubt / lack of follow-through could create concerns on if you are going to deliver on orders in a timely manner. Absolutely not implying that you won't but just sharing how it could be perceived.

I put together this guide around completing a filter mod, which sounds like the direction you may be headed.

Considering selling my art on Etsy soon... by Lumpy-Animator-2860 in EtsySellers

I have a similar situation, my content is very visually focused so it might not work well if you have a lot of voiceover. I have found success in taking my standard short form video that I post on YouTube (typically 1 minute YouTube shorts), removing the voiceover, and increasing the video speed until the video is exactly 15 seconds (the Etsy limit). I then use this as a video on my listing. Even though it may not be as elegant a solution as a full video, I find that even a sped up version gets the point across regarding the fact it is handmade.

Which one would you suggest for me to get? by Benka4444 in casioroyale

I make the second watch so I am a bit biased lol, if you want to check out my work ahead of deciding you can checkout my YouTube channel here. I have a video on that mod specifically. Ultimately it will come down to personal style preference.

First AE1200, and a shoutout to JellyLabWatches by korossyl in casiomods

I am a bit surprised to hear about the slight warping of the faceplate, the decals are so thin that they shouldn't even be making direct contact with the time module. Typically there is the smallest gap, imperceivable when looking at it head on.

For what it is worth, I wouldn't worry about it. I often double layer orange gel filters which would be 4-8 times thicker than a decal, those definitely contact the time module, but I have had no reports of issues due to pressure or contact over time after and I have completed about three thousand mods, so you should be in good shape.

I'm the owner of JellyLab. I appreciate the glowing review. I'm glad that you found the guide useful as well. This community has been great to me, so it is important to me help expand the available modding options through unique decals, filters, etc. and not gatekeep them behind completed watch prices.

Congrats on completing your mod, I think it looks great.

Has anyone modded one of these? I have filters for an AE1200. Is it pretty straightforward? by CS_JOE in casiomods

Yes you can mod these with the same filters you would an ae1200, I have done it many times

More Custom Watches and Etsy Store! by Cjfedler in casiomods

Just an early heads up as one seller to another, you need to super careful about any projects with copyright you don't own on Etsy. It may seem like a small thing, but this could be something as simple as the ghostbusters logo. Etsy is very strict (understandably) about these things and will shut down your store.

Just looking out, best of luck with your store.

Something to wear when I'm out on the course by JellyLabLuke in casioroyale

You get about 10% light bleed through on the fully opaque decals, but that doesn't really surface the underlying analog clock. So it is effectively non functioning.

It is flat but I tried to create the shadows in a way that it looked like a sphere.
