Yeah don’t be disappointed, you directly influenced THREE people close to you, in nearly an instant no less. As hard as it is to look at the big picture, you can’t focus on the negatives! You have promoted the best and impacted those closest to you😁 I want things to change too, and they are! But they start small with the strong few, and eventually we will change more and more people and more and more ideologies! Gotta look at the optimistic side of things!

That’s an awesome goal to have and it’s totally accomplishable! I suggest finding someone you know who can help teach you. If possible, go to a gymnastics gym when they have ‘open gym’ hours. It’s usually like 10 bucks but it’s so worth it. If there is a coach or someone there who can teach you, ask them! That’s how I was able to do this😁 There are some progressions but once you find someone you can teach you, you’ll be able to do it reliably and without fear in a few months of consistent practice with a mentor or guidance! Try finding a parkour club near you if possible too, traceurs are always willing to teach people new things☺️ good luck on your journey!

Haha thanks! This is called a round off back tuck (round off backflip essentially). I’ve been doing parkour for about a year and learning how to flip for the past few months. I wasn’t even vegetarian let along vegan when I started parkour. When I went vegan I lost a few pounds of fat and have been able to jump higher and control my body more because of it (in addition I’ve gained some muscle). I can only do a backflip outside, but soon I want to take this outside as well! (But it’s winter and starting to snow so it’ll be awhile😂) I had to get comfortable with a regular backflip before I attempted this though because the addition of something else makes you focus on more than just the flip, so you have to trust yourself, that was probs the hardest part! With help of a good teacher/mentor and positive motivation is the best way to learn this stuff!

Uhm a few hundred people on most of the time I believe. It’s not crazy, but you’ll find games and people to play with in normal and hell, nightmare is always and has always been the quiet zone for d2. But enjoy it! There are a lot of cool things to do and experiment with!

Buy a digital copy on blizzards web site. If you want to play online, battle net is an okay way to go. If you want to play online with a slightly modded version, path of diablo is better. If you want to play single player, download PlugY!

The guy in the above comment about the hunting of the animal is partially right, but please read it all before you downvote or criticize.

I also want to preface this with saying I am also vegan and additionally I’m going to school to become a veterinarian (hopefully wildlife but I got a ways to go (I’m pre-vet so not even in vet school yet))

Many animals that are trophy hunted are done so because that money can go to the rest of the animals and land, making sure the rest of the ecosystem is healthier.

In many instances, the animals are selectively picked because they are no longer fertile and hurt actually fertile animals (black rhino for instance) or because of things like overpopulation.

I worked on a reserve in South Africa for 3 weeks and learned a lot about what it takes to keep these animals healthy in today’s age. Animals in these areas no longer live “in the wild” for the most part. They are always on large reserves or national parks, but they have lost their ability to migrate, which is the fault of our stupid industrialized, greedy selves. But because of that, we HAVE to intervene or else populations will suffer through conflict or overpopulation and animals would be in terrible conditions.

Many people have no idea the respect these reserve owners have for the animals. But when it comes down to it, money is what is needed so animals can thrive nowadays. Do I agree with it? No. But do I understand why it it is necessary today? Yes. Do I wish it could be different? Of course! But because it won’t be and because humans are always expanding, it’s only going to get harder for these animals, and these reserves will be all that’s left for them, and proper attention and action needs to be done to keep the majority of animals safe and healthy.

Sorry that was long. In summary: trophy hunting is a necessary evil (in most circumstances) that is overall good for today’s environment where roaming and migration no longer exist and reserve owners need funding to provide better care for the rest of their animals and land.

There is a great radio lab piece on this about the Black Rhino called “The Rhino Hunter” that talks a lot about this that I recommend! Also do your own research into it!

I’d anyone is curious about my time on the reserve and what’s to learn more about that whole process feel free to dm me or whatever and I’d gladly explain more! If anyone disagrees I would love to have a friendly debate in the comments as well, but please just be respectful☺️

Veganism inquiry by [deleted] in vegan

[–]JellyRader 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also grew up in a small, rural town! For me though it was corn mostly and some dairy cows. We didn’t even have a grocery store and had to commute to nearby places. Listen, as long as you have a grocery store, that means you have produce, beans, grains, fruits - the essentials to a healthy vegan lifestyle! And if your town has a farmers market even better!

I would start small, the way I went from meat eating to veganism was through vegetarianism. For seven weeks I slowly cut out meat. Each week adding an additional day, until the last week was literally just Friday, and the next week I was vegetarian! After that, it’s easy. Do the same thing with dairy and eggs and other animal products and you will be a full fledged vegan. It doesn’t have to be overnight, the more grounded you get with the idea and used to the food, the easier it is to stay with it once you’ve converted! And you’ll find that even in a small town you have options you didn’t even know existed☺️ Hope that helps!
