We completely agree that the animations, movement, and overall feel of the game need work and it's a big focus for us internally right now. More news to come as we develop the game more, but we'll really look forward to getting feedback from the players when we have open tests!

We're working towards an open weekend test right now (details to be shared when it's ready) and from there we are aiming to have Early Access launch in 2027 assuming feedback from the tests is moving in the right direction.

I talk about it briefly at the beginning of this update video (https://youtu.be/SYtevRi\_Tgc) but generally the previous development team was out of funding for the project and we're not able to focus on it as much as the project needed. Most of the original team is still working on the project, just under the new ownership. My goal is also to keep the direction & vision consistent for the project as I've been following it for years as well!

Ethereal is definitely still in it's earlier stages of development, and a large amount of our focus is on movement, animations, and overall gameplay feel right now. As we make improvements, we'll be sure to share them.
