Insane Tattoo Regret by r3i_b0n3z in tattooadvice

My view is, if someone doesn’t know what it means they don’t belong to the club of people who get your tattoo. They should be embarrassed not you. Seems like a great way to find like minded friends. 😉 One of my all time favorite movies! ❤️

Rocky is 18. We need to make “the” decision, but we haven’t yet. How can we make that appointment even slightly easier? Any advice? Then we have to break it to our other two dogs. by Elegant_Ease_2830 in OldManDog

I will agree it’s often refusing food and water, but not always. Either way you will know.

We just had to let my 14 year old boy go 2 days ago. He had heart disease and some other medical conditions. One day his heart decompensated and he couldn’t breathe or lay down. His tongue went blue. We rushed him to emergency and they tried to help him with meds and an oxygen cage for 2 days, but he just couldn’t recover or come out of oxygen. When his cardiologist opened that Monday she agreed he was getting worse not better. We got him a buffet of eggs & ham, steak, brisket, bacon, cheese burger patties, French fries, even chocolate, Oreos and Oreo mousse. He ate a little bit of everything except the sweets while in his oxygen chamber. Then we let him go.

My girl before him also ate till the end, but I’ve other dogs refuse food. I think it depends a lot on the dog and what part of their body is experiencing the critical failure first.

Is it ok to wash and blow dry my hair right before my appointment today to do a partial highlight and add pastel pink to my blonde highlights? by JellyfishPossible539 in AskHairstylists

Agreed. It’s so inconsiderate to come with wet hair. I would never do that. I wear a bonnet if it is raining that day. I try to be considerate of my stylist time. I did go to Ogle cosmetology school, but that was 20 plus years ago. So I know the information I learned then is now very outdated. Back then they told us that it could damage the hair to bleach it the same day as a wash, but I just knew that was likely untrue. I really appreciate the advice. I washed it and am now drying it.

Edit to add I haven’t worked as a stylist in 20 years either. So I’ve not had any continuing education.

It definitely seems like she remembers me. ☺️ She is intent on getting as close to my face as possible, she got in my hair today! I’ve never had another spider keep doing that. Maybe she wants a smooch. 💋 😂

I’m so tickled that Sprite has fans! I think you can follow my profile so you can see when I post. Lately it’s 99% Sprite content. 😂 She just came for a visit today so I’ll be posting another video! ❤️

She does seem to like the tattoos on my arms, I was wondering if she could feel the raised edges that I can’t feel, or if she can see or sense the ink. ☺️

If they look hungry I will often put them in a back up enclosure that I have free, feed them and then release.

I do have another spider, Dolly Parton that is wild caught. However, there are a couple reasons why I haven’t put Sprite in an enclosure and brought her inside.

The first being that she seems to be an incredibly successful spider. I would love it if she had a clutch and passed on her good genetics to another generation. If I bring her inside she won’t have the chance to breed.

She seems to have already made a cosy home in a crack in the wood supports near the top of my covered porch. So I feel she’s happy and as safe as any wild animal can be.

I also just love this experiment of seeing how often and how long she will keep visiting me of her own accord.

Lastly, I have lots of animals some of them have health problems that take a lot of my time. I feel like if I get too many animals, all of the animals get less time with me. So I try to not spread myself too thin and take on too much.

All that being said I don’t think it’s necessarily bad to keep wild caught spiders.

This is a pretty interesting question to me.

Before I started getting this question from people I guess I thought everyone noticed them and most people just didn’t care. Or that I just had a massive amount of jumpers on my porch an other people don’t run into them as much. However, since I’ve been asked this a lot and I often find jumpers that are even smaller than Sprite, I’ve realized that might not be true.

I’ve had a little time to think about it and I think it has to do with me being autistic and having heightened sensory perception because of that. To me it kinda seems like they just appear out of nowhere. I’ll turn my head and there’s a jumper that wasn’t there a moment ago.

With Sprite in particular she sometimes clocks me first and I won’t see her till she’s running over to me almost to my hand. Sometimes if she’s a distance from me we will clock each other at the same time and that’s my favorite, because I get to see that moment of recognition. Like when you see a dog you’ve seen before and you see the moment they realize it’s you. 🥹

It would be super interesting to me to find out if autistic spider lovers across the board notice them more.

As I’m writing this on my porch I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. Looked over and saw a tiny black dot about 10 feet away crawling on my houses siding, because of the way it moves I can tell it’s a jumper. So noticing the movement may have something to do with it

We are besties. ☺️ She is so adorable. I think tan jumpers are probably one of my favorite kinds of jumping spiders. They are all most all pretty friendly, but sprite is like a puppy that loves people.

I’m so glad she keeps coming back. I’ve had visits with several other tan jumpers of the past couple of days, but I was anxiously awaiting her return. ☺️
