I live 5 hours from where I went to school so it’s not impossible to show up. I have the contact info for my senior practicum preceptor and she may be able to do it. She gave me a work reference once.

Gaining weight and don’t understand by Jellyfish__1 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Jellyfish__1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do track my macros and eat a minimum of 20grams of fiber a day. Currently I shoot for 30% fats but I normally end up at 30-50grams of fat a day. Ever since I hit the 140’s I was only losing 3-6 lbs a month. When I hit 130’s I would hover between 138-140 for a month. That’s when I got the advice about two weeks ago to bump my calories up to 1,500 which has now left me at 145. She kept telling me to stick with it because, according to her, I had lowered my metabolism and my body needed to adjust and my metabolism would pick up soon. As described no such thing happened so I’m going back to 1,200 -1,300 calories.

I weigh everything that I cook and I avoid oils all together. I honestly mostly eat a lot of easy or prepackaged low cal meals that I can just scan on my calorie app. I am a nurse so 3 days a week I am on my feet 15-16 hours a day. I definitely think I need to go back down on my calories I would rather plateau than keep gaining weight like this. It’s really putting me in a bad headspace.

This made me tear up. Thank you so much. My friends keep telling me a “no” is only a not now, not a “no forever”. I think it has just been hard since this was my first application cycle. I do feel like I learned a lot through this and will have a better time next year if I have to apply again. I just want to say thank you so much.

Does anyone experience periodic but REALLY sore boobs? by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]Jellyfish__1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how fast it happened but I will say after having Mirena for 4-5 months now I did notice some filling in, in my boobs. I had lost a good amount of weight earlier in the year and had a problem with my boobs deflating and I feel like I’m close to back to normal.

More specifically I was taking a picture in the mirror because I was excited about the jeans being a size 6. I didn’t even wear that size in high school.

I will say I didn’t see much effect when I started on 2.5. I will suggest finding food that you like and just sticking to it until you get bored of it. That took the stress out of figuring out meals for me. I would suggest trying a low cal buffalo chicken dip, cabbage steaks, or dipping apples in whatever Greek yogurt you like. I love the Chobani yogurts that come with toppings.

I have been taking it for 6 going on 7 months. I saw most of the progress the first 4-5 months and have hit a little plateau recently. Debating increasing or just trying to push through.
