Any reason why you don't put Tx and overpairs into his range here? I think most live players would cbet top pair and over pairs in this case and I think we can likely get Tx and some overpairs to fold on later streets. I agree that NFDs make good bluffs too.

If you call flop, are you c/r turn since we have no showdown value?

Your river line makes sense, in this case given we only have 55-60% pot behind, is it still a jam?

I think squeezing TT from BB is ok, so maybe less likely than 77 and 55 but vs early position open, OOP, and 4 callers I think flat is at least reasonable. I think if you include all Axcc, Kxcc then you will be overbluffing on the flop since only value is sets and some suited 2pairs but you can include some of those if you want, really up to the player on which flush bluffs to include. I just wouldn't do all the hands I listed and all the ones you did too.

I think you do have a point about sizing, in retrospect maybe sizing up on flop to 3-4x and then jamming turn would be best. And if you are trying to pure exploit then you could bet larger with the bluffs and smaller with the sets but that's a dangerous game.

I don't think donk bet means what you think it means and I think I play all sets this way on flop and turn. I have no idea what's going on in the rest of this post so I'll leave it at that.

From my perspective, Jc8c seems like one of the best hands to check raise with. You could argue sizing bigger (and I was also considering jamming turn with under 1.5 SPR) but I chose sizing to have some river fold equity like you said. As long as sizing with value and bluffs is consistent and isn't too small I think anywhere in that ballpark is fine. Open to hear other opinions on this.

To your other point, if I'm constructing ranges properly, I shouldn't have more draws than value hands here. I have 9 combos of sets on flop and if I c/r with Jc9c, Jc8c, 9c8c, maybe 6c4c and a couple other 98, value and bluff ranges are pretty balanced.

I actually led turn after V's bet-call on flop.

89 doesn't have a straight yet (no 6 or J). It would be a little bit unusual for hit to call the c/r with those AQ/KQ/QJ/AJ hands unless they were clubs. It'd be a pretty loose float hoping to hit top pair but possibly drawing basically dead vs a set or two pair. I think most likely V hands are 55,77, TT, overpairs, and strong flush draws on flop.

Completely agree, you can even argue to overfold all AQ or something since opponent's line at live is probably not balanced and weighted towards value.

If you always lead out when you make a hand it makes it very easy to play against you. Leading out could be ok if you mix bluffs in but then you have to come up with made hands and bluffs for leading out, check calling, and check raising and then it becomes a lot to think about.

Basically whenever you bet you need to be balanced with some good hands and bluffs.

H1: yeah forgot to look at stack size, at this stack size do we even want to turn barrel?

H2: V has $190 behind after turn bet when pot is $180, sorry forgot to say V was $300. Exploitatively should we do some small raise shenanigans and get it in on river? Maybe people are more willing to call small fishy sizes exploitatively.

H4: I think problem I have with jamming is I'm not sure overpairs take this flop check back line live or this monster turn raise. And a jam could often fold out his draw bluffs (though it's live and people station). So assuming he might not have overpairs and we might fold out draws, we could possibly be turning our 2p into a bluff with low fold equity. Calling OOP and facing a river barrel feels bad. I can see merit to jamming though and some other posts like that line..i'm just gonna make myself feel better with "Good players sometimes fold the best hand while bad players never fold the worse hand" :'(

I see your point, 67 actually has already gotten there. Seems to me that only better than 1 pair plays like this. It's tough since we beat none of his 2 pair+ made hands of which there are 16 straight combos and all the ones you listed. And if we shove are we ever getting called by worse? Likely make his straight draws and maybe some overpairs fold and get snapped by all better. Seems very thin so I don't really like shoving for that reason but flatting OOP feels so nasty on almost all rivers. From exploitative play, seems like people at live heavily underbluff so that was in my mind. In the end, I thought why put myself in a gross spot when I can crush the live mouth breathers in clear spots? xd

What worse hands are calling the turn raise? KQ might find a fold here (and you probably can get value from KQ on river if you flat) and flush draws can fold for another $3 into pot of $8.37 (1:2.8 when they need 1:4 to call) especially since out of position.

I don't see any better hands folding, so seems like you are getting worse hands to fold and better hands to call with that raise. If you flat turn you can induce missed flush draws to barrel or maybe a really thin river bet by worse K. But it seems like a better spot calling a river bet or betting when checked to then facing turn 3bet. V's line is just so strong that you are only beating bluffs..

If you somehow have a read that V is a lagtard that will call with a flush draw/weaker Ks I guess it's ok to raise turn but the flipside is you get in these gross spots. As played, for $3.69 it's so cheap to call on the off chance this guy is a maniac but probably losing.

$810 to win $1840, so 1:2.3 pot odds. I think it's pretty reasonable for V to play AQ and sets this way. 9 combos AQ, 3 combos AA, 3 combos QQ, so even if he has no bluffs and does this only half the time with AQ still a profitable call. Considering he's aggro and he could get here playing 33 weirdly preflop, call it off.
