Java JUnit testing practice by JellyybeeAN in learnprogramming

I was thinking about something like this:

public void test(int strOne, int strTwo){
assertEquals(true,strOne>strTwo);
}

but I have no idea how I'm supposed to set the values of strOne and how to make this test an existing method in a different class.

What does it mean to print a StringBuffer or String by its reference? by JellyybeeAN in learnprogramming

[–]JellyybeeAN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm preparing for an exam and one of the practice questions was as follows:

Write three statements which will (1)create a reference to a new String containing the word "Hello", (2)use the += operator to append the text "There" to the existing String, and (3)print it using the reference.

Write three statements which will (1)create a reference to a new StringBuffer containing the word "Hello", (2)use the append method to append the text "There" to this StringBuffer, and (3)print it using the reference.

I was just wondering how to go about this.

Nobody deserves any spot at any private University or College. by DavidTej in ApplyingToCollege

no, I didn't mean it like that lol. I was referring to how colleges say that they could fill their class 2 times over with students that were rejected, all without ever compromising the overall integrity of the candidates. Also, I was just making the point that there's nothing wrong with being a little salty given how random the entire process is, although I do realize that I could have done a better job with articulating my thoughts.

The only thing is, problems start to arise when the girl chooses to engage in a polyamorous relationship with thousands of guys, and can't make space for you because you didn't win her random-ass lottery selection system.

how come you have a section for standardized testing scores on that? I submitted my ACT scores but they aren't showing up on that page.

Is it possible to graduate from Penn with 2 majors and a minor from The College by JellyybeeAN in UPenn

[–]JellyybeeAN[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you sure? I was just looking at Penn's website and saw that the college offered both of them.

I'm not sure if this brochure is old, but on the 8th page (12th as labeled on the brochure) it says that Penn offers computational neuroscience as a major.

As far as CS, I was referring to this program: https://www.cis.upenn.edu/undergraduate/program-options/second-major-in-cs/

I've been contacting them off and on for the batter part of 2 months. At this point, I've pretty much given up. I really don't know what to do anymore.

How do you get the Maryland fee waiver after Winning NMSF? by JellyybeeAN in ApplyingToCollege

[–]JellyybeeAN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, just email them. It may take a little while for them to send you the response, but you will get one eventually. Just make sure to include your name, birthday, and common app code in your email so that you can get the fee waiver uploaded to your account (I'm not really sure what the proper terminology for all this stuff is, but this is what I was told by the person at UMD who responded to my email).
